My girlfriend had ovarian cyst, she had a surgery and the cyst was removed from her ovaries, but her periods are still irregular and we both are pretty tensed about this scenario. =(

I have very bad pain in my ovaries and I’m pretty sure I have cyst on ovaries. I would like to know what is the best Ovarian Cyst Treatment? Should I buy a book and save some money or should I go to the doctor to get a better opinion?

Before I spend money going to a doctor I want to find out myself if I have it.

I have a cyst on one ovary that has grown from 1.7 to 2.3cm in 6 months. My doctor wants to remove the ovary and cyst. I am afraid it is cancer. Someone told me they don’t usually remove a cyst until it is at least 5.0 cm. Is my doctor being over cautious?

Also I would like to know .. are they going to remove whole ovary with cyst or just cyst? what are average hospital stay for ovarian cyst removal?
I have had problem getting pregnant and i am getting really heavy period.

I had an ovarian cyst in july of 2006. My boyfriend think I have 1 again. But I dont want to go get it checked out. He keeps telling me to but I dont want to. Does any one know how you could tell if you have one and dont want to get it checked.I dont think I have one but I’m not 100% sure. It would be greatly apprecated. Please and thank you
