The Shocking Truth About How Often Conventional Treatment Fails And Leads To Risky And Often Unnecessary Surgery!

Archive for September, 2009

I still have severe pain. I have an appt for an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon but I am worried that it wasn’t a ruptured cyst now because the doc at the ER said it should only hurt a few days. It hasn’t subsided at all, so what could it be?

Another thing is I’ve been trying to conceive for 14 months with no luck. I’m only 22 as well and already have a 4 year old so I wonder if whatever it is is related to this as well.

Ovarian cyst/cancer?.. age 19..pregnant..opinions?

One year ago (February 07), I started to develop the following symptoms:
-Abdominal pain
-Shooting pains in pelvis/legs
-Bloated
-Weight Loss (about 5-10 pounds)
-fatigue
-changes in bowel movements (urgency)
-back pain
-cold sensations in feet
-burning while urinating (no infection)

-pain after intercourse when I started being sexually active in May

Anyway, my doc did an ultrasound in April/07 and found a cyst on both ovaries, the one on my left being complex, although quite small.. 3 cm in diameter I believe. My gyn thought it nothing to worry since I am "only 19" and brought up endometriosis. Put me on orthotrycyclen-lo and let me go. I was planning on having an ultrasound in Nov/Dec but unexpectedly got pregnant after going off ortho because of depression. Now.. I’m confused. What do I say to my doctor? She still thinks it was nothing to worry about and now I’m preg? Can people even get preg if they have ovarian cancer? Thank you for any advice/experience.
I still had the abdominal pain, pain after intercourse, burning while urination, and fatigue, and change in bowel movements during the pill. I no longer had the shooting pains, back pain, or cold sensations in the feet on the pill..I don’t know what this all means.

I had ovarian cyst surgery On May 2007.After that we tried so hard to concieve, but till now, (May 2008) nothing happens. My doctor said it takes time and told me to keep trying. i am so desperate now, please help

I’ve got a cyst on my right ovary measuring 7cmx10cmx10.5cm can this interfere with the development of the unborn baby, what is the best treatment for it and could it make me infertile?

Ruptured Ovarian Cyst or Endometriosis Pain?

Our daughter, almost 24, has had some bleeding on and off for over a month. She takes Seasonique (3 month birth control) to control the symptoms of her endometriosis (diagnosed by laproscopy 4 years ago). She has taken it for almost 3 years and has been very pleased with the reduction in the amount of pain from the endometriosis.

Suddenly in January, pain on her left side increased greatly and the on and off bleeding began. She had an appointment with her OB/GYN who said it may have been due to the endometriosis. She managed to deal with the pain up until last week when, during the night, she has some take-your-breath-away pain on her left side which went on for a couple hours. 2 days later, she felt a "pop" on her left side and had a gush of heavy bleeding for 2 hours. The pain increased throughout the day until she eventually went to the emergency room as it was after hours at her OB/GYN and they couldn’t do anything to immediately see her. They weren’t able to do to an ultrasound at the ER (small town hospital) but scheduled one for 2 days later. The dr. who did an internal exam said the left side felt "full".

On Tuesday she had the ultrasound and everything in her ovaries and uterus looked normal. She saw her OB/GYN again today and she says it could have been a cyst that ruptured, or it could be a flare-up of endometriosis. The pain is sometimes sharp, and the rest of the time she says it feels like there is a curling iron burning inside, on the left side. Her dr. would like to give her a Lupron shot, if it is endometriosis, to throw her into menopause. This seems like an unwise thing to do if it was a ruptured cyst since Lupron won’t help with that and it’s not even clear if it really helps reduced endometriosis pain.

If you have had an ovarian cyst rupture, what were the symptoms before, during and after? How bad was the pain and how long did the pain last afterwards? If you have endometriosis, have you tried Lupron? Did it help?

i have two ovarian cyst. one in each ovari. i’m also dying to have kids. i have been trying for a couple of months now. but my DR told me if need to get pregnant right away i have to get them removed after 3 months of lepron depot. i have heard about the symptoms of Lepron. my cyst are about 5cm. please help me i’m soooo desperate to have kids.

I am 13 weeks pregnant with an 8cm ovarian cyst. I hope to avoid surgery during pregnancy, and want to know what I can do to try to lessen my chances of a twisted or ruptured cyst.
I am especially curious about women who have had complications? What were you doing when the cyst twisted or ruptured?

I had surgery in march, and im still in pain when i have intercourse, and when im ovulating. Is it normal to be in pain 6 months later and loose interest in sex and men overall?

What is the best treatment for ovarian cysts?

And, what is the best method to prevent them from returning?
