hi can a burst ovarian cyst hospitalise you and put you in intensive care?

I was diagnose with an ovarian cyst on June 17 with a cyst that was full of liquid. Its June 28 2009 and now i just started to bleed. i didn’t get a period on May. i heard that sometimes your cyst can bleed but how can you tell wither its your period or cyst. i do have minor pain on my left ovary thats about it. what should i do.

I think there is more going on here than pre-menopause stuff. My periods for June July and Aug were much heavier than normal (buton time and normal length). Sept was stricken with a lot of pain on lower left side and y period was 25 days late (almost missed). Ultrasound revealed a burst cyst and sightly larger left ovary. Pelvic exam showed 1cm polyp attached to the cervix. I am awaiting PAP results. I have NO appetite, still pain & discomfort in lower abdomen, and left side, and into my thighs,and lower back, breast tenderness, alot of fatigue, cold all the time, frequent indigestion and now a spotting dark light kind of peiod in Oct. Iam NOT pregnant and my thyroid is fine. Anyone with similar health issues with any input/experience would be greatly appreciated. A bit fearful of ovarian cancer???

I get ovarian cysts all the time…what causes them and can they prevent me from getting pregnant?

I have a really sharp pain in my lower left abdominal area, it started during sex and it’s been two days now, and it’s still pretty intense. I’ve just been taking pain killers so I can deal with it, I’m hoping it will pass because I don’t have insurance. From eveything I’ve read and talking to people, I’m thinking it might be an ovarian cyst, has anyone had this? Can it just go away?
I went to the ER, they ruled out anything critical, including ovarian cysts. I still have the pretty intese pain, they gave me pain killers and told me to go see my doctor, which I don’t have becuase I don’t have insurance!

i am 16 years old, female (obviously)
well anyway ive had like a bad stomach ache for about a year & a half. then it kinda went away & now its back again.
a week ago i finally went to a doctor & they found an ovarian cyst. :/
my mom might have cancer, (she didnt rell me but i think so, its kinda obvious)
& i know she has a cyst as well & has for years & never got it removed..
& her mom had ovarian cancer, & her great grandma did..

anyway, the pain hurts very bad & idk wat to do. i feel like my friends, & somewhat my family dont care.. & i havnt been tested for cancer..

so what are the chances of me getting it?
or is something wrong? noone takes me seriously about this, but the pain ..idk if its normal

If so, what did you eat/ not eat? How long did it take? Did it disappear, or just shrink?
