I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured about a day or so ago. Now I am bleeding..
so my first question is: can I wear a tampon?
and: How can I know if I am just on my period or if it is the cyst bleeding?

I was in the ER yesterday, had an ultrasound and was diagnosed

I was diagnosed with my left ovary having a cyst. My primary doc said it is almost the size of my ovary and to have a ob keep an eye on it incase it gets larger cuz I would have to have it removed if it does. However she didnt give me signs to look for if it does get worse. I dont have any insurance right now or I would go to a ob. I need to know symptoms to look for….anyone have symptoms for me?

i am 24 years old and on november 2 at 10am i am going to get my cyst taken out of me. my question is what can i or can i not do after the surgery, how long will i be in the hospital, will they show me what my cyst looks like, how much pain will i be in, and lastly how long is the healing time? now i want real answers not "oh it’s going to be fine" not those kind. i want straight answers. thanks everyone.

I had a ct about a month and a half ago and they said i had a ovarian cyst that was 8.5 cm since then the pain went away but about a week ago i have been having abdominal pain and severe thick white discharge im always sick and it hurts to poop sometimes if anyone knows anything it could be please let me know

At the end of March 2007 I had to get surgery in order to remove an ovarian cyst attached to my left ovary. It was a dermoid cyst and was about the size of a baby’s head. After my follow up checkup with my surgeon he said I could go back to work after about 8 weeks. I’ve been feeling really fatigue and low energy since my surgery and I’m wondering if this is normal and how long it usually lasts. Also, will it affect my work at all?!?! Should I let my work know about it?!?!

In July an ovarian cyst was discoverd on my left ovary.
Does this mean that I didn’t ovulate that month?
This month, it is suspected that I developed one on my right ovary.
Again, does this mean I didn’t ovulate?
Do ovarian cysts alter ovulation/menstrual cycle?

I was told i have a cyst and was not that concerned until i started having some symptoms. Really dark brown discharge or blood, shoulder pain and a fever a times. Should i go to the doctors again?

I’ve been doing some reading on ovarian cysts, and the answer that keeps coming up for complex cysts is surgical removal, most often by laparoscopy. This is done due to concerns about ovarian cancer. But aren’t there other options available? And how do they know that a cyst should be removed, particularly if it is multi-compartmental?
