What are some of the sure-fire differences in symptoms between an ovarian cyst and ovarian cancer?
Also, is it possible for an ovarian cyst to last for many months, whille only causing pain occasionaly?
Thanks for your help!
Could you people stop suggesting me to go to the doctor. That is obvious. Im asking if you know any distinct differences in symptoms between cysts and cancer. My goodness…

I have ovarian cysts and they hurt pretty bad. I get as little as one per cycle and as many as 8 per cycle. Most of the time they burst. I get this distinct sharp pain and I know a cyst has burst. There was only one time when the cyst actually grew to the size of a walnut. The doctors did absolutely nothing about it, and that one burst. That hurt so bad I cried and was in the fedle position. And earlier today I could feel pain from one. And my cycle is short, varies 19-22 days, period lasts about 4-5 days, but is extremely painful.
I’m 16. Are there any treatment options?

my friend has ovarian cysts in both ovaries. can she be able to get pregnant after its removal? the doctor was not specific enough on the surgical treatment (whether she will remove the ovaries of just the cyst).

I am being treated for a large ovarian cyst with birth control pills.
While I know that the worst symptom of a cyst is severe pain, I
have not experienced this. I was wondering if anybody has experienced constant fatigue from either the cyst or the femcon fe (birth control) pills. I’ll be calling my doctor tommorrow, but I am curious as to what other woman have experienced, as I have never before slept so much in all of my life. Thanks is advance for your thoughts.

I went to the ER and they gave me morphine intraveneously (sp?) and that worked well for the pain. they sent me home with a week’s worth of lortab and that did nothing for me but make me sicker and feel worse than i had before! i am going to maybe have a laprascopy surgery to remove a large complex left ovarian cyst very soon and want the doctor to prescribe me an oral dosage of morphine as my pills to take home afterwards. i know it is strong but i know that it actually works…can i rightfully tell him what pain killer i want though? i feel as though i sound like a druggy when telling him that but i don’t want pain after being under the knife…. can he say no?
thanks!!

I am 17 and have a few painful cysts a year. I have heard that they can decrease your chances of getting pregnant to 1/1 million. Is this true?
Haha, I’m not thinking about getting pregnant anytime soon, I was just curious.

I also have one simple cyst and they are both on my right ovary. How do they treat this? What makes it complex?

I rarely have physical pain prior to my period. In fact, my sister-in-law is jealous that I don’t get cramps. However, once every 7-12 months, I have severe pain on my right side where my ovary is, accompanied by bad upper abdominal pain, profuse sweating, and a fever. It feels like an ovarian cyst that had apparently been slow-growing and then it busts. Many times when this happens, I can barely walk. Ibuprofen and heat barely touches the pain. This has happened for the past eight years.
