Im 22. I was diagnosed with HPV 2 years ago. A colposcopy was done, there were some cell changes found but it wasn’t anything to worry about according to the doctor. I was supposed to come in 6 months later but I was too terrified to go.

Last November, my stomach was hurting me to the point that I couldn’t move — I thought I was just having a gas bubbles in my stomach or something. After 2 days of pain and pills I started bleeding, I thought it was a late period.

Since January, my period has been missing every other month. None in Jan, then it came Feb, March then it was missing July & August then it came Sept and I’m on it now.

I noticed that I have bloating, and I cannot eat like I used to — I get full very quickly. After doing research, I saw I matched for symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. I called my OBGYN and they said the next appt is in January.

I don’t really know what to do. My mother said I should wait. I rarely have pains now, its every once and a while but I’m just lost and very scared. Please offer assistance .

I had terrible pain on Monday went to the dr and found I had a large ovarian cyst. I have surgery scheduled for tomorrow to remove it. Yesterday i thoought I was getting my period, but it was very light. This morning I woke up and the blood was heavy, with several clumps of what apperaed to be skin or tissue. Is this residue from teh cyst bursting?? Or another miscarriage (I had one in the spring..) My dr’s office opens in a few hours..just looking for words of wisdom until i call..
I am telling the whole truth. Why would I lie?? I’m not sure if the cyst burst. It was found on Monday by my DR. Surgery was scheduled for tomorrow by my DR. I have not had pain since Monday, just tissue in the blood that appeared this morning..I have an appt later today that’s why I was able to use my computer. Thanks for being so polite and really making me feel better.

I am only 5 weeks along in my 4th pregnancy. I have 2 children & lost my 3rd at 10 weeks pregnant in July of this year. I have a pain, its about 2 inches higher than my pubic bone, and about 4 inches to the left. I had a pap smear 3 weeks ago and the doctor was concerned I might have an ovarian cyst or ectopic pregnancy because of the sensitivity I had when she pressed there. She checked my blood and I was negative. Now I am 6 days late and have had 4 positive pregnancy tests. Is this a normal pain to still be feeling? I feel it every once in a while, nothing in particular brings it on. Any advice on this please??

I am 6 weeks pregnant, and during a recent ultrasound, my doctor saw cysts on both ovaries. On my left ovary, she said it was a simple, fluid filled cyst which she wasn’t worried about, as they are normal and will shrink on their own. She thinks there may be a ‘complex’ cyst on my right ovary, and I am going back for another scan to check it again next week. Has anyone had any experience with a complex cyst? Am I more likely to need surgery for that?

I just went to a family practice Dr. (not my normal OB/GYN) for what I thought was a bladder infection. Turns out I have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. I am going in for an unltra-sound on Wednesday. Has anyone ever had a cyst on their ovaries? What should I expect as far as care/treatment? What are the chances it is cancerous? A bit worried about the future and confused as to what to expect, any info you have to offer is greatly appreciated.
I had an ultra-sound today, the cyst is an inch in diameter and fluid filled. They called it a simple cyst.

i was already told that for sure i had an ovarian cyst that was about 4cm big. i am going to the gyno today to figure out what i should do. i already had an ultra sound done. am i going to have to be examined?

I had a lot of pain and nausea this past month and I’m almost certain it’s another cyst. I also had one in Feb. My AF was due yesterday. I am very regular. AF shows up every 28 days, but not this month. I took a hpt this morning and it was a BFN so I’m wondering if the cyst is causing this?

I have been diagnosed with a functional ovarian cyst and my doc put me back on the birth control to see if that would make it go away. She said to give it 2-3 months. When I go back for my next doc visit in may, if it is still hurting me she will refer me to a doc that can help me further with it. But it’s been about 2 1/2 months and I am still feeling it. My question is, can I get a pain med (percocet or lortab) prescribed till we know what is going to be done? Ibuprophen (anti-inflammitory) did nothing.

Many women have unique health issues. I am no different.
I have undergone paraovarian cyst removal thru laproscopy and almost recovered.(in 2 weeks) I dont feel pain at all now.
i feel laproscopy is a advantageous when compared to older technologies.

I had a Laparoscopic surgery lat Thursday which is 08/13/2009 for an ovarian cyst on my left ovary because I was having extreme pain in my stomach and lower back. They did pelvic ultrasouns, 3 in fact and it was there for a 4 month period. Well anyways, i went in for my surgery they seen access fat from my c-section that i had jan 2007 with my son, so they said that was probably my pain too.. and then when i came out of surgery i asked if they got the cyst, and they told me it was GONE! and im recovering from my surgery, im feeling much better. but the thing is… im having the exact same pain on my left side that i was when i had the cyst, so im trying to figure out if they could missed it or what could have happened, because im in bad pain, I go to my doctor this Friday, and im either hoping to get another ultrasound to find out because I just don’t understand if they could of missed it, or even see how. But i need help! fast. thanks!!
