Just had an ovarian cyst and my left ovary removed in Oct 09. It was about 9cm big. I was cleared by the doctor and everything on the right ovary was fine. What would cause another ovarian cyst to grow within two months to 6cm on the right ovary.

hey guys. i think i have something wrong with me. since about july 12th-ish i have had really bad lower stomach cramping, almost like when you have a heavy flow. i also have had really bad boob soreness and back pain. my first thought was, am i pregnant? and after taking pregnancy test every few days, i consulted a clinic and they said that if i last had sex on june 24th and also july 10th, the pregnancy would of shown up by now for june 24th and also too early for symptoms from july 10th. we also used protection and also pulled out.
so if im not pregnant, what could this be? i also noticed that the past few days the pain has decreased, little or no boob pain and SOME cramping. but today the boob pain was back and in full, and huge aches that made me cring. i also have a hard time going to the bathroom now. i used to go atleast 5 times a day because i drink water like a fish and now i hardly ever have to go number 1, and when i feel like i need to go number 2, i cant go. i have been able to go number 2 atleast once daily which is good but its not the normal. what could this be? someone mentioned ovarian cyst. but also said that if a see a doctor they may just say to get rest and to come back in an exam in a few months if the problem doesnt go away.

I’m now thinking my tubes could be blocked from scar tissue??? (there’s a few other possibilities too) either way… my question is… who do I make an appointment with to see everything’s ok? Can I make an appointment with the local doctor? or do I have to make an appointment with an infertility specialist?

Well. Back in March, I was out of town for a cheerleading competition. We arrived after a 3.5 hour car ride in the early evening. It was near the time my period was scheduled to start, so when I started getting cramp-like pains I just figured it was PMS. As the night went on it became more evident that it was in my lower right abdominal and it was excruciating. Definitely the worst pain I’ve ever had in my life. (By the way, I am 14 years old, I was 13 at the time of this incident) I couldn’t walk, stand or stretch out my body. This was a huge competition and I am a stubborn person, so convinced my parents that it wasn’t a huge deal, I’d be fine and I didn’t need to go to the ER. Now I’m wishing I would have. Anyway I eventually fell asleep, woke up the next morning 100% fine. I was puzzled but ended up just being happy it was over and forgetting about it. Recently, the pains had returned, though not nearly as bad. The other day it felt more like a burning sensation, and we finally went to the ER. I got an ultrasound and revealed a complex ovarian cyst on my right ovary. Whether that explains this or not I guess that means it has solid and fluid components in it. It is around 36mm x 35mm x 44mm. Those aren’t the exact measurements, but close enough. The ultrasound also revealed fluid outside of the ovary which means that it is leaking or busted somewhat or something. I am returning to get another ultrasound in about a month to see if the cyst is shrinking and is dissolving on its own. If it is not, my doctor said they would most like perform a laparoscopy, but that will not be concluded until after we find out what the next ultrasound reveals. My question is: what the HECK is a laparoscopy? I really just want to know exactly what the procedure is. Sorry I wrote so much, I’m just so worried. My lower right abdominal is aching as I type. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.

I was diagnosed with functional ovarian cysts on my right ovary, is it possible to still concieve. The doctor said that I’m still fertile and could but I would like to see if anyone has had experience with this or has known someone that has experienced this. Thanks in advance.
