The Shocking Truth About How Often Conventional Treatment Fails And Leads To Risky And Often Unnecessary Surgery!

Archive for April, 2010

A month ago, I went to the meergency room with severe abdominal pain (thought it was appendicitis). I was given a barium enema (OUCH!). When it came back it said I didn’t have that, but I had a complex ovarian cyst on my right ovary measuring 3.5cm. Last week, I went to my doctor who said they would do a sonogram in a month to see if it has grown. I got a copy of the films, and it shows what I think seems like alot of free fluid (ascites?) is there supposed to be any?) I have used this information and done some research on ovarian cysts and the symptoms, but it always seems to go back to ovarian cancer. I am 32 yo. I have no risk factors for ovarian cancer, but I am scared to death. As I sit here now, I just want to cry. Should I get a second opinion on waiting a month, or should I just wait the month and see what happens? I have read so much about OC being misdiagnosed or overlooked until it was too late. I really am at a loss, and would feel better if I could just get some opinions.

I’m 17 and I have to have surgery to remove a cyst on my right ovary on Wednesday(April 21, 2010). I am sooooo freaking out right now!
My cyst is 5in.
(Plus, the surgery is now an Outpatient Surgery)

1. Can someone explain to me the actual procedure? (From first walking in-to walking out finished)
2. Did you have stitches or staples?
3. What was the recovery like? (Pain wise, and what could you do activity wise?)
4. What do you recomend I should do after getting home?
5. Has something happened to you after going home to where you had to go back and be admitted? (Chances of anything like that happening?)
6. How long did it take before you could start moving around and doing stuff?

Please help-I’m a big chicken when it comes to surgery/doctors/and hospitals.

Thanks,
Kim.
I am very overweight – 320lbs, so how much will this effect anything?!

ruptured ovarian cyst?

after an ovarian cyst ruptures…during the healing process…is it possible or normal to have slight vaginal discharge…(not blood)….is it from the cyst? is it from your body healing?

My ultrasound results show a 5.5 complex cystic/solid right adnexal mass. The differential diagnoses includes endometrioma, complex hemorrhagic cyst, or cystic ovarian neoplasm. The last one mentioned could be cancerous. In addition to the 4 previous surgery’s, I’ve had at least 20 either rupture or resolve on there own. My symptoms include abdominal, back, and groin pain as well as the feeling of fingers between my ribs, headaches, severe constipation, fullness/bloating, and fatigue. And my emotions are all over the place. My OBGYN was sapose to see me today but when I got there he had to leave for a labor and can’t see me now until tuesday, The anxiety of not knowing what to expect is killing me. Anyone have any ideas????

Can a ovarian cyst burst?

What would happen if it did?

Horomone treatment and Lactating?

Ok before everyone bombards me with "Go see your Dr!" Let me just get it out first. My good friend has a10 year old and 1 year 7month old premi. Unfortunately my friend has ovarian cysts and already had one ovary consumed by the cyst alone. She has seen her Dr. a billion times about removing the other but no luck. The Doc’s decided to put her through early menopause (horomone treatment) to see if the sever pain from the cyst will stop. Now mind you its been a while since she has given birth to her previous child. All of a sudden she started lactating out of no where! Her breast do not hurt, she shows no signs or symptoms of illness. . . however she is very concerned….Shes suppose to be going through menopause….Not lactating. Does anyone have a clue on whats going on??? We have tried to contact the Dr’s but no luck..(FYI thats the military Dr’s speaking for you!)….Your comments and advice on any experiances would be appreciated.

What are some signs of infertility?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years and NOTHING. My Dr. says I am fine with blood tests and an ultrasound. And to top it off I haven’t had my period for 3 months and I took 2 pregnancy tests-both negative. I had an ovarian cyst in high school, but it is now gone. Maybe it’s just not time….
