Hi,
I was hoping that someone could provide me with some advice. Below are my reports, this has been going on for more than 10 months. I saw one Gynecological Oncologist and she said that the reports show functional cysts (despite having them for 10 months) that will go away by themselve and no treatment is needed. That was last week.
I saw another Gynecological Oncologist this morning for a second opinion and she said that they are Endometrioma. She has scheduled an Trans-vaginal ultrasound for Jamuary 21, and I will get those results from her on February 4, 2009.
I am completely confused. I do not know which one to trust. Worse still – will these continue to grow? What if they are neither? My CA125 was 63. My father died of colon cancer and my paternal Aunt of Breast Cancer.
My first report dated February 8, 2008 states:
Endometrium double layer thickness is just over 7mm.
The uterus is anteverted with overall diameters 37×40x76mms. There
appears to be a fibroid subserosal posterior at the fundus 24×19x14mms.
In the cervix, there is a little cyst 8mms.
The right ovary is 34×28x22mmx. Here we find 2 follicles or a
biloculted cyst with a thick septum, more likely that these represent 2
adjacent follicles.
The septation between the two are little hyper vascular.
The left ovary is 30×30x28mms contains a follicle 13×8mms.
The cul-de-sac is clear and the bladder appear normal.
Report 2 dated Sept 22, 2008:
The uterus measures 7.7×4.8×3.7cm. There is a fibroid at the fundus
measuring 2.2cm. Endometrial lining is 0.4cm. In both
adnexa there are abnormalities. On the left there is a complex
primarily solid but inhomogeneous irregular mass measuring
6.1×4.1×3.7cm. On the right there is one measuring 2.5×2.4×2.3cm.
Sorry, should have mentioned that I am 37 years old, have never had kids, and got my period when I was 13. Symptoms: bloating pelvic tenderness, lower back and leg pain, headaches, constant need to urinate (sometimes a lot, sometimes a false call!) and extremely tired. Very heavy and painful menses.
I’m 19 and I have a cyst the size of an orange on my right ovary and REALLY badly polycystic on the left. I’m due to have the large one removed but I’m scared I’m going to be infertile. I also have all the symptoms of endometriosis so this is going to be explored (but assume I have it).
Would you necessarily experience localised pain over the affected ovary. Apart from that is there generally no symptoms or could any of these be symptoms:
Abdominal bloating feeling and general mild abdominal discomfort.
Feeling the need to go to the bathroom (#1) more frequently.
Depression and weepiness.
Breast tenderness even after period has finished.
Lighter periods than usuall (2-3 days instead of 4-6) for past 2 cycles.
Thank you for your input — your experiences please. Thank you.
I really aprreciate all your help – some great answers and thank you so much. Hope to book an appointment for tomorrow. ![]()
so I went to a health clinic yesterday and they referred me to the ER because they thought I had appendicitis
so I got tests done and everything was normal…white blood cells good
and they said my pain was probably from an ovarian cyst that would go away with time
they tried to do a pelvic exam but I had never had one so it hurt too bad and they stopped.
the pain isnt bad or unbearable just annoying really…what I’m concerned about is how I’ve been feeling hot a lot lately..kinda like feverish and the night before I went to the ER I felt like I was on fire almost but I didnt have a thermometer to check for a fever
I also have bad anxiety and have been very emotional and upset lately with things going on in my life
so why am I always so hot..I’m 18 so it’s not menopause
my boyfriends mom said it may be my thyroid..I have a lot of symptoms but they could be from anxiety to
I have been to the doctor a lot so my parents are getting sick of taking me but I just have to know whats going on
It has now been 6 days since the docs said I suffered from a ruptured ovarian cyst. I still have extreme pain at times, not on the side they say ruptured, it’s all over, like labor pains, the pressure on my pelvic bone is intollerable, and the fullness feeling in the pelvic area is really starting to get annoying. Is this normal? Has anyone else after a ruptured cyst felt this way after almost a week. I know i’m sounding very elementary here, but after 10 yrs of dealing with cysts and many ruptured cysts in that time, i’ve mever experianced a ruptured like this before. I just want to know if i’m losing it, or if theres been others who have experianced this also. Thanks for your time.
I’m recovering from an ovarian cyst rupture but I’m getting pains my legs and lower back. Is that from the rupture or is that from all the stress that I went through?
I have been experience a lot of stress lately and is that also causing the pains? I have taken Advil today and it didn’t relieved the pain at all. Anything else I can do to get rid of the pains????
Please and thank you…
Thanks for answering… This Tuesday I will contact my doctor and see what he says.
