Hello,
My problem is probably quite unusual,in fact I have been treated in a particular way for my appendiceal attack of last month. In fact,I started to feel pain in my RLQ and clinical exam showed all the signs of appendicitis and the scan confirmaed that the appendix had enlarged, the surgeon gave me a antibiotic treatment and sceduled suregry for the following morning. When laparoscopy was done he found a ruptured ovarian cyst which he believed was the main cause of the pain that I felt and cured it,he saw the appendix and in spite of its slightly enlarged size he decided not to remove it as its global aspect didn’t look so bad. After surgery he gave me further antibiotic treatment for a couple of days and pain went away.I just think that it would have been easier for me if he had removed it as I know that an appendix that has had issues once can become inflammed in the future.Do you think that I if I get another pain attack I will be able to have this bloody thing out for good by insisting a little bit and directly asking the medical staff to help me get rid of it.I precise that I live in Franceand that it is the second abdominal surgey that I undergo for RLQ pain and that n one decided to remove my appendix.
All testimonies and opinions are welcome.
im going to New York next week but i have a cyst on my ovary. will anything happen to me?
I would like to know from women who have actually had ovarian cysts-what symptoms have you had? do BBT temps stay elevated? I have been having some painful nipple conditions (I never had them before as I do not take any caffeine whatsoever) and someone said that it could be an ovarian cysts. I have had 14 days of elevated BBT (will test only after 16-18 days). Other than this there are simply no other problems, no symptoms or indications of AF/pregnancy!! I did do an ultrasound 3 months ago which did not show any indications of cysts.
I am going to my doctor next week, but can’t get this ovarian cysts out of my head! Women who have had such cysts – what are the symptoms, indications, etc?
Thank you so much for your answers.
Super thanks to Carly- you have put my mind at ease! I really have no pain at all. I am really not obsessing abt the symptoms just waiting it out. Thanks everyone for answering.
I did test yesterday and it was a BFN! But still no AF!!!! WTF???!!!
Has anyone every heard of a case, where an ovarian cyst, has ruptured when a pregnancy/ implantation takes place? I have a friend, who had a cyst burst, and then went to the e.r. They did a pregnacny test, and it was negative, but then a few weeks later, she found out that indeed she was expecting. I too, have just found out that I had a cyst to rupture (last week), and am wondering if, maybe this maybe the same case for me?
SO CONFUSING!!!! Because they all have the same symptoms as each other :S so please be specific on all the difference & how to tell if it IS implantation taking its place.
Thanks!
I had my gallbladder removed 3+ yrs ago, long term history of elevated liver enzymes not constant but several times over 10+ yrs with no found cause. I have been having pain for months, off and on. Recently had ultrasound, CT, MRI, all normal. I am wondering if anyone else is still having pain in that area after having the gall bladder removed?
I have a big problem with scarring internally so I am wondering if my gall bladder surgery left scar tissue behind that is now causing problems. I recently had an ovarian cyst removed and they couldn’t get to the ovary because of the scar tissue left from three c-sections. They told me I have "massive amounts" of scar tissue left in my lower abdomen so it got me thinking about the RUQ pain.
I see the GI specialist in a couple more weeks but this has been going on for a while and I am curious if anyone else has the same problem.
By bothersome, I mean causing lower abdominal discomfort and pressure.
My doctor told me that I (most likely) have an ovarian cyst. I am going in for an ultrasound to be sure, but my doctor is pretty sure what it is. What should i expect? Will I need surgery? Could i have ovarian cancer?
I am 15 years old. The cyst has been there for about 3 months now and i have had regular mentraul cycles.
