I recently found out I have 4 cm cysts on each of my ovaries and I was wondering if anyone has had mood swings with cysts. I feel like I’m going nuts. Sad commercials are suddenly bringing me close to tears!

I have been on birth control for 2 years and have now been diagnosed with ovarian cysts. From knowing the symptoms after researching, I started having symptoms as long as 1 1/2 – 2 yrs ago. The pain has increased greatly and it feels like the one on my right ovary has grown quite a bit, since my last ultrasound in September. I have tried to narrow down what possible disorders I could have, including PSOC and endometriosis, but I have a few symptoms that I don’t see listed for either, such as my pelvic area (possibly my uterus) hardening and becoming sore and my right pelvic area (probably where the ovary is located) swelling and forming a lump that can be seen by a normal person. I am not technically on birth control to treat them, even though it is usually supposed to help. What all treatments are available, other than surgery to remove the cyst or the entire ovary?

i was diagnosed with ovarian cysts when i was younger, is there a possibility i am sterile? Also i was trying to get pregnant so i took myself off the pill for a year and still no pregnancy, if i were fertile how long would i have to be off the pill to become pregnant??

I would like to know from women who have actually had ovarian cysts-what symptoms have you had? do BBT temps stay elevated? I have been having some painful nipple conditions (I never had them before as I do not take any caffeine whatsoever) and someone said that it could be an ovarian cysts. I have had 14 days of elevated BBT (will test only after 16-18 days). Other than this there are simply no other problems, no symptoms or indications of AF/pregnancy!! I did do an ultrasound 3 months ago which did not show any indications of cysts.
I am going to my doctor next week, but can’t get this ovarian cysts out of my head! Women who have had such cysts – what are the symptoms, indications, etc?

Thanks for answering. I normally have a 13-14 days LP and today is 15DPO and no AF. I did test yesterday and it a BFN! I have no pain or any such feeling (mayb some gas issues but nothing else)! Still just waiting for a few more days and I’ll test again! pray for me pls- I hope this is it!
I used a ‘Answer’ HPT. Do you know if it is a good one? It says 5 days before your missed period yet registers nothing!??

I have been having lots of pain in my lower back n on my right side. so I went to the hospital n they said I had a cyst on both right n left ovary. They said I will probably have to get them removed. So I was wondering if it hurts to get the cyst removed?I am really scared.I am only 19. Is there anything I need to worry about? If you could help I would really appreciate it alot. Thanks!

ok so heres the deal im 22 years old im not a small women but im not big either im a lil thicker than average…anyways i had surgery on feb 12 2007 and it was for removal of an ovarian cyst that was freakin HUGE! i missed my period for 9 months but after the surgery i was told i would get my period back and i would also be able to have children as well…i had an amazing doctor who was always on top of things with me so i dont understand why my period hasnt come yet. i do get these pains that are in the lower ab area. also i get cramps sumtimes. and i urinate ALOT and i am always tired. and i just dont know whats going on. i have a doctors appt on sept 10th but it just doesnt seem to come fast enough. so if anyone has had this b4 please tell me what was wrong with u or if u might have any ideas as to what it could be please let me know. i greatly appreciate it. please no rude comments. thank u

my husband and i have been married for almost 2 years. we don’t use any kind of birth control and he doesn’t pull out. i still haven’t gotten pregnant. i recently found out i have ovarian cyst. could this be what is keeping me from getting pregnant?

I had ovarian cysts. They were deemed functional but there were quite a few on my last ultrasound.
They’ve since resolved themselves and today I was given the news that I’m officially cyst-free which is exciting lol.
But I wondered, could it have been the cysts that caused these symptoms:

- pain during sex
- spotting after sex
- extremely painful periods
- pain localized to my lower back during periods

I was just wondering. Now that the cysts are gone, these symptoms are gone too, so I just wondered..
