How long does a doctor usually wait to remove one? This has been going on for almost two months now. She said they "usually" rupture or disolve before your period. This has no happened yet and I have had one period since it started.
And how do they remove it. Is it a outpatient procedure or inpatient surgery?
Thank you

Vomiting and fainting
My size, 5′3” 105 pounds, does this increase my chances of torsion?

I’ve had a small ovarian cyst (diagnosed with ultrasound) of left ovary last december where I was a week late for my period and then started getting sharp pain on the left side, radiating down the leg. My Ob/Gyn prescribed me morphine pills to take every few hours for any painful period or problems. The cyst vanished within a month. The next month, my period was black-brown clots. This month, I am 4 days late for my period and having a burning pain in the left ovary side, worse with standing or sitting for long time. No breast pain or anything. Having slight facial hair problems for few months now. Is it safe to take morphine pills when I am trying to conceive. Could this be another cyst? Should I take the pills and wait for the cyst/pain to vanish?

When I was 13 I had a large ovarian cyst removed (along with the ovary itself). I have had no further problems or occurrences (I am now 22). I read in their medical standards that past history of problematic or RECURRENT cysts is disqualifying…does this mean my one single occurrence is not?

I have PCOS which causes me to have many cysts on both of my ovaries. And I was wondering if stress could cause my cysts to rupture? It’s a question I wanted to ask my doctor, but totally forgot. Any information would be helpful. Thanks =)

There’s a possibility that I may have a burst ovarian or other reproductive cyst, but can that be caused by sexual activity?

I’m getting an exam tomorrow and I’m supposed to get my depo provera shot. I have an ovarian cyst, and I was wondering if I’ll still be able to get the shot with my cyst?

Hi well i came back from staying at the hospital for the night and i found out that i had an Ovarian Cyst instead of appendicitis. What will happen will i need surgery if the ovarian cyst doesn’t disappear?
