I had to get surgery to remove an ovarian cyst that was blocking the blood flow to my ovary the surgery was 14 days ago and I was feeling almost normal but now my belly button where they made the insision is starting to hurt and it has a hard lump right under it. I’m scared that this could be a hernia and I’m freaking out cause I really don’t want surgery again. Has anyone else had a lump under their belly button after surgery ? I’m wondering if maybe it’s scar tissue or something

A week from today, I went to the hospital after days of intense pain and swelling in my lower stomach and fevers. While there, I received blood tests, an ultrasound and an internal exam. This revealed that I had a burst ovarian cyst that released blood into my stomach. In order to do the ultrasound, the doctor told me I had to have a full bladder and therefore, hooked me up to an IV to recieve fluids. I was then discharged with the official diagnosis of "ovarian cyst" and given no painkillers or any other treatment. When I arrived at home, I was still in a lot of pain and had fevers and headaches also. I also started to experience a dull, severe pain in my right shoulder. This pain reminded me of a pain I used to experience for seconds at a time, years ago when I would run for miles and drink tons of water, however MUCH WORSE. About two days later the pain in my stomach started to go away, however it is now a week later and I still have constant headaches and an intense pain in my right shoulder. It hurts TREMENDOUSLY whenever I laugh or caugh. It also hurts much worse when I lay on my right side or on my back. What could this be ? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so i was diagnosed with ovarian cyst on feb 2009. Im 23 and ready to have kids, me and my boyfriend have been trying but nothing. Could the ovarian cyst be in the way? Will i ever have kids?

I looked into the signs of ovarian cysts because a girl on a site I frequent said some of the stuff I was feeling was what she felt before a cyst she didn’t know she had ruptured.
I took two pregnancy tests today, a few hours apart, both were negative. If I were pregnant, I’d be 5 weeks along, and most people say their tests could tell they were pregnant at only 3 weeks. So I figure the tests are probably right.
But if I’m not pregnant, then why am I 3 weeks late for my period, my legs are swelling, my lower back and lower tummy both feel like a pressure is on them and my stomach is cramping pretty frequently, and I get queasy easily?
I know you can’t diagnose me, and I am making a doctor’s appointment for this week. I just want some opinions on what to tell the doctor what I want him to look for. The doctors in my area don’t search much further past a cold.

My last period was dec 28th. I was told on jan9th by the ER physician that I have a very small ovarian cyst on my right ovary. I stopped bleeding a week after that visit but for the past 5 days I started bleeding again, and it was moderate (enough to fill about half of a pad each day. As of now I still havent came on my period yet. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday and had a very faint positive. I am sitting in the waiting room at the ER as Itext this question from my phone. But in the meantime could Iget a little advice from the ladies? And by the way, I haventbeen in any pain since all of this happening

in january i was diagnosed with a complex cyst on my right ovary and in may my doctor requested that i get another ultrasound to find out wether it got smaller or bigger ,, 2 days ago i went to see my doctor and she told me that my ultrasound came up normal with no internal echoes but im still experiencing pain and she told me that i have a small labothian cyst on my cervix… why would i still be experiencing pain .. could i have been miss diagnosed??

But it was nothing to worry about, would probably go away when my period started.

It started within hours.
Is it really something I shouldn’t worry about?

I am never late and pregnancy test is negative but still have some symptoms of pregnancy, im confused.

How exactly does an ovarian cyst cause infertility? From my understanding, someone who has an ovarian cyst cant release an egg during ovulation, which makes it impossible for egg and sperm to meet. But doesnt that also mean if someone has a cyst, they wont get their period bc no ovulation occured? Thanks in Advance.

I was just diagnosed with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, yet my doctor(this is a new doctor since my old doctor mysteriously left) told me that Pelvic Inflammatory Disease was listed on my medical history file back in 2004 during an ultrasound. During that ultrasound, my doctor at the time told me that all I had was an ovarian cyst that would dissolve on it’s own. Bull****!

If I have had PID since 2004, why wasn’t I told about it until today, 2 years later? That just makes me so damn mad to know that now I may have infertility caused by this. If I had known back then, I would’ve gotten treatment for it then, not waited 2 years later when so much suffering and damage has been done. I was planning on having children within a couple years too. But now I have adhesions, scar tissue. If I were to be able to somehow find the bitch doctor who did not inform me of my correct diagnosis, would I be able to sue her?
