I have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary, it has caused me a little pain in the past few month’s. Last month my period was a few days late and it was abnormal, then this month I started spotting for 2 1/2 days, and then today I started bleeding more heavily, but still not normal. I am having bad back cramps and regular cramps, along with some not at all regular sharp pains on my left side and I am swollen right above my left ovary, the same thing happened last month I was swollen right above my left ovary but I didnt have the sharp, stinging, hot, stabbing pains, in the swollen area. I could barely put my pj pants on today, cause it hurt so bad when I was moving my left leg, my head hurts and I feel light headed, my stomach is so bloated, its ridiculous, looks so much bigger than normal. I was going to buy a pregnancy test yesterday, because of the spotting and I have been sick to my stomach for about 2 months, but my fiance told me to wait untill monday to go into the clinic for a free pregnancy test. Then today I woke up in the early morning in horrible pain, and more blood, swelling above the ovary, and a really swollen/ bloated stomach, my body is feeling weak and shaky, headaches and light headed. If I knew for sure that I was pregnant I would be at the E.R right now, but the only problem is that I am home alone with my 8 month old son, his dad/ my fiance went to the lake with his friends and is supposed to be home any time now, but he knew how I was feeling and I asked him not to leave me home alone with the baby the way I feel but, he did anyway. I know that the right thing for me to do is go to the E.R but please if any of you have been through similar situations please tell me how yours turned out. Thanks a lot, and God bless you.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year. My doctor diagnosed me/w PCOS because I was overweight with no menstrual period and infertile. I have acne but I mean I don’t think its out of control. I don’t have hair overgrowth or cysts on my ovaries. I was put on medroxyprogesterone for two months then I went on metformin to help with weightloss and fertility. A month later, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Before that, I was nauseous, vomiting, sensitive to certain smell, and cramping with breast tenderness. I didn’t think anything at first because those were some of the side effects of metformin. Now I’ve taken 3-4 pregnancy test and they all say positive but it could also be an ovarian cyst since all the symptoms are similar to that. I have been cramping on my lower right abdomen once in while but otherwise, nothing too severe. Made an appt with the doctor but need to what others think…some insight…

Am I really the cause of one of her ovarian cysts popping? What should I tell her so she won’t be mad at me? Is there anything she can do right now to reduce the pain she’s in?

What are some ways to subside the pain caused by two large ovarian cysts while waiting for surgery? My surgery is on March 30th, so I have a long way to go. I have been alternating between Advil and Tylenol and also using hot compresses.

they keep accruing in her stomach, she is 19 she said they are like contractions and very painful any ideas? been to doc’s he said it could be ovarian cysts or a hernia, but has not said about treatment, been happening for around 5months now back at doc’s tomorrow.

How does PCOS affect fertility? Do the cysts prevent ovulation? And if PCOS causes infertility, why don’t ordinary ovarian cysts? Even the largest ones doctors claim are not a fertility factor. Doesn’t that sound confusing?

I went to the ER yesterday for severe / sharp abdominal pain on the right side, just a little below my belly button. I also went because I was feeling very nauseous. They thought it was appendicitis at first because my rebound test was positive (it hurt really bad when she let up). The test where they press on your left side and you feel it on your right side was also positive.

They took blood and made me drink this dye so I could get a CT Scan. They told me that I have a ruptured ovarian cyst and it would get better and said that there was a little blood around it. He told me my appendix looks normal and I’m having just about every symptom from it.

Well it’s been 24 hours, and my stomach still hurts LIKE HELL in that spot. I am on my period (they knew that) and it’s not causing me any cramps at all. But the pain in my r. abdomen is not letting up at all. I’m on complete bed rest for two days and I’m taking vicodin for pain, ibuprofen, and nausea medication. None of it is working and I’m in so much pain!

Do you have any advice???? Could it be appendicitis,? PLEASE say something.
