My wife went through IVF back in late january. Had a miscarriage in early february. Has not had her period since the miscarriage, however she has been cramping and bloating. Today we took (2) home pregnancy urine tests and both of them came out positive. And the + sign was dark and quick to show up. Could she be pregnant? Or could her HCG levels increase due to a possible cyst?
She is scheduled for a blood test tomorrow. Just trying to find out info from others knowledge/experience.
Waiting on results of blood test. She is cramping, bloating and very lightly spotting (brown’sh type color). Is this normal in a pregnancy? What is "TLC" by chance?
Update! My wife just found out she is pregnant. Her HCG level was above 5000. We are going in to see the dr. tomorrow Now the question is how far along is she with that HCG level?

Ive had various symptoms for at least 7 months now which are:
-Big change in my period, inc color, consistency, length
-Stabbing pains now and again around womb
-Change in type and consistency of discharge
-Severe hormonal swings during period compared to previously
-Visiting toilet much more regularly than before and feel like i cant empty full bladder
-Low energy levels

I returned to my docs regarding these symptoms 6 times over the course of 5 months at my old practice which resulted in 3 internal examinations and 1 course of antibiotics although tests came back clear of infection.
Each time the docs kept saying nothing wrong, normal for hormones to change blah, blah, blah! They honestly made me feel like i was a hypochondriac, as if they were rolling there eyes when i walked through the door.
I feel it is particularly patronizing for a male doctor to quote these things regarding female hormonal changes as they simply don’t understand! What they are quoting is what us girls learnt at the back end of primary school, i have had my period for over 10 years, i know what a normal change in hormones is and what is an abnormal situation and symptoms!

However I know my own body and i knew things weren’t right so i changed doctors and they immediately sent me for a ultrasound scan when i advised my symptoms and how long they had been going on for.
A male doctor also performed another internal examination which is pretty humiliating especially with it being the 4th one!

I had my Scan yesterday and it revealed a large ovarian cyst, these can be harmless and go away after a few weeks but mine has been there for months so she is sending me for a gynecological examination! Which means more embarrassing examinations!
There is also a history of ovarian cancer in my family and i have not yet had the chance to have kids so I am extremely worried! I would rather die than not have children!

I am just so angry at these pig headed doctors! I am distressed that this thing has been growing for months due to their inability to chase things up!
Im so glad I trusted my instincts and went to a new doctor.

Does anyone have any idea what will happen from here :’(

Because its been there for many months and its large, she says theres no point monitoring it and sending me for further tests.

A few days before my period was due, I had to go to the hospital bc an ovarian cyst I was unaware I had ruptured. It was a week friday since it happened and still no period. On sunday I started having cramps but still nothing. Can this cause a late or missed period?

I have a cyst on my right ovary and I was wondering what the treatment options were. My husband and I would like to try and have a baby before he deploys. My cyst is very small, but during ovulation I was in EXTREME pain where I couldn’t move an inch, or even lay down. I believe I’ve had it for 4 months now because I was given the wrong birth control and at that time and had my period 4 times in 1 month.. ever since then I have been in mild to severe pain. I don’t want to go on birth control, are there any other options besides surgery.. ?

Hello ladies. Once again, I really need your help..I was late on my period so i took 3 pregnancy test and it all came out positive..the next day i went into the docs and he said that it was too early and saw nothing so come back in another week. i’m 4 days late on my period, and my impatient self went to another doc..he said he saw a sac..but i believe he said he wasn’t sure if it was a cyst or a sack..he said he wouldve been able to see something by now it was pregnant..

first off..what are the chances that its a cyst or i’m pregnat? and could a cyst cause false positive pregnancy tests? my husband and i are trying to have a child..so i’m really hoping that its a baby..and if i am pregnant and theres also a cyst, what could happen? he said to wait another month to come back..i know i should wait but i was hoping i could get some input from those who have some experience. still no period, breasts hurt occassionally, and my back hurts. i don’t want to get my hopes up..please give me any input ladies, i really need your opinions and answers.

I took a pregnancy test today and it came back positive, but I think I might have ovarian cyst’s. Could I possibly have a false positive?

So I recently ovulated and I’ve had a lot of sharp pain in my right ovary. I tend to get quite a lot of pain in this ovary around ovulation and just before my period, however it’s been quite bad this month. The pain is sharp and hurts more if I move. The pain also goes into my ‘thigh joint’ area almost (that’s only how I can explain it) and i get a period pain feeling in my back up to my kidney area i don’t feel sick or anything, but my periods have become a little irregular but are getting regular again. When I press on th area I can feel a small lump near my ovary and it hurts when I press it. Someone mentioned to me it could be a cyst, but I’m so paranoid it’s something really bad like ovarian cancer -I’m only 18 and it would ruin my life :’( Does anyone have any insight to what it may be? I’m going to see the doctor too

About a month ago, I took a week off from taking my birth control due to financial issues. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. We use the "pull out" method (which I know doesn’t always work). I thought nothing of it until I missed my period. (My period’s been 99.9% normal for 2+years) I always get it the Thursday after my last pill from that monthly pack is taken. I’ve been off my pill for a month before and all it did was make my period come a day later than usual.

It’s been about a month since that day of intercourse and I’ve had some symptoms relating to both pregnancy and an ovarian cyst. First, I got a UTI, which I get a lot, but usually only the day before I get my period or if my boyfriend and I have had rough intercourse. It woke me up at around 6 am and lasted all day. Was gone the next day, but came back the day after that. That’s never happened to me!

The Thursday came that I was to get my period, and I never got it. The first symptom I got was constipation that gave me a hemorrhoid. Later that same night, my nipples starting aching so bad to the point that I took my bra off and layed on my stomach on the floor to put pressure on them. Few minutes passed, and my nipples starting burning.

I waited a few days, about 3 or 4 without my period, and took a pregnancy test (First Response 6 Days Before Missed Period test). Came out negative, but I did have to pee really bad from drinking about 4 bottles of water at work!

Since then, I’ve been mildly gassy, sometimes get a fluttering in my lower abdomen, get very emotional/moody, and crave EVERYTHING!

Just last night, I woke up around 4am sweating so bad that I had a headache. Mind you, the room was air conditioned and quite cold.

This morning, I was sneezing like crazy, but that quickly stopped.

I was at work for about an hour when I felt my ears hurting, kind of like an ear infection, and was getting little on and off headaches. Very soon after, my glands are now, and have been for hours, very swollen. Hurts to swallow, yawn, or really talk.

Crazy thing is, all my research points to both pregnancy AND ovarian cysts! I’m only 18 and am afraid to tell my mom to take me to get an ultrasound with the possibility of me being pregnant. Any answers/suggestions???

im 14 i had my first period when i was 12.. in april,may and june my period started on the 7th of the month and lasted 5 days..i never had any period cramps(or it only lasted a few minutes on the 1st day)..then in july it came late on the 23th and also lasted 5 days with no cramps..i august it only came on the 29th and lasted 5 days. but i had very mild cramps on the week before my period..and very bad cramp on the day before(needed hot water bag to fall asleep) no cramps throughout period but now after my period i woke up with cramps, then i went for dance class(no pain) but now it hurts again…im kind of an hypochondriac so im really scared that its something serious like i have been reading on endometriosis and ovarian cancer and polycystic ovarian syndrome and ovarian cysts and im really scared that im going to have the side effects…like i read here
