Ovarian cyst removal surgery?

How long would I have to be in bed rest for after my surgery?

is a cyst the same as cancer?

is an ovarian cyst the same as cancer? and do you have to have a major syrgery?

HELLPPPP horrible ovarian cyst pain?

I have had horrible pain for a day now, and I was scheduled to ovulate. I am 99% sure this is an ovarian cyst (I had one like this 4 years ago).
I keep taking naproxin and motrin- but the pain is so bad that its making me nauseous and the meds are, I think, doing a number on my stomach lining, causing me even more discomfort.

Nothing can get rid of this pain! What is the best way to get this thing to burst?

Infertility question?

Ok, so a year ago, my hubby was told by a doctor that he had something called epididymitis. He was given anti-biotics and it went away in just a few days. Well, now my hubby and I have been trying to have a second baby for the last like 3 or 4 months, and have been unsuccessful. I thought it was because of me. But is it possibly that this epididymitis might have caused my hubby to become infertil? Or is he ok because it cleared up right away?
I’ve never had any problems with Ovarian cysts (as far as I know) and this would be our second pregnancy, so I know I can get pregnant. In just wondering what other reasons could cause us to be having issues getting pregnant. Advice would be appreciated, too. Thanks.

I’m 20 years old right now, well back in February 2011 I thought my stomach was going to explode then I went to hospital and got a CT scan and reveals I have a cyst. Then I was having pain again then went back to the hospital and I had an ultrasound I’m not too sure it was either for ovaries or a gallbladder (can’t remember).
Then in June 2011 I went to the GI doctor and they order me a colonoscopy/endoscopy and I was having cysts on ovaries before I had this done. I mention that. Then my colonoscopy is clear and on the endoscopy reveals I have hiatal hernia.
Then in August I went to have a Pap smear and pelvic exam both came out normal.
I was concern about my ovarian cysts and I’ve been having irregular periods since I was 16, so my doctor put me on birth control pills then I got my period for a week and a half, then something went wrong and my thigh/knees/ankle on my left leg hurts and then I got worried and worried because I may have ovarian cancer then my mom told me she read the side effect of TriSprintec and I was wondering it could be one of the side effect. I was going to hospital today, but thanks to my sister telling my doctor about birth control and leg pain I’m going to my doctor in 2 days as well as she have a doctor’s appointment. I’ve mention about ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer a few times she said I don’t have it and I’m still worried.

Then I’m worried to death because I have a few symptoms of ovarian cancer like indigestion, ovarian cysts, thigh pain, irregular periods. I’m going crazy and then I was like diagnose myself with ovarian cancer.

I’ve been worrying like crazy for almost a year because of the ovarian cyst.

I don’t know what to do anymore.

I am recently got married. My age is 25 years. I have been detected dermoid cyst (5.4×4.5 cm) three months back. Is sex can be the cause of my cyst because uptil now I have not reached orgasm. DOctor has given me the option of surgery. In the worst scenario my right ovary can be removed… will i be able to conceive with one ovary…. Please help friends… I also want to be a MOM…
I also have irregular periods. Doctor said that this problem is by birth and it can not be treated :( :(

I’ve been in menopause for decades (medically caused in the 80s) with fully intact ovaries and other parts. For the past couple of months, I’ve had lower back pain and lower right pelvic pain. No vaginal bleeding. Had transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound – they found thickening of the uterine lining, and the ovaries were not viewable. My gp referred me to a gyn for an appt. This was late Sat, and the office is closed on Monday.

Could the thickening be causing the pain? I had initially thought perhaps a cyst (unlikely since its been decades since a period, or perhaps ovarian cancer. Them not seeing the ovaries makes that diagnosis difficult, altho I know an MRI would show them if they are stuck behind the intestines.

I was on prempro for decades, and had dropped the .625 dosage to a lower level about a year ago. Dr. did not refill my prescription for it.

Info on the above in the net is bare, especially when all the conditions are put together. Dr. mentioned that GYN will probably want to do a biopsy on the lining. She also said the lining was nodular, not smooth.

No history of gyn. cancer in my family.

Any info would be appreciated!
