Ovarian cyst removal?

Hey everyone! I found out 3 months ago I had a ovarian cyst on each of my ovaries. They continue to grow and one is now 10cm and the others 5cm. The larger one is becoming very abnormal so they decided that they want to remove them because of that reason and because they continue to grow. I was wondering if anyone’s had this surgery? What was it like? How long was the recovery? Hospital stay?

Also another thing Ive been trying to get pregnant for over a year. With my ex husband and with my boyfriend now. The reason for this is every woman in my family has had a total hysterectomy by the time they were 26-28 due to some kind of cancer. Ive already had high grade precancer cells found and frozen off about 2 yrs ago. Has anyone with these kinds of cyst had a hard time getting pregnant? Like I dont understand why I havent gotten pregnant in all this time because my periods are spot on every 28 days like clock work 12pm I start. Werid huh?

Side note I contracted herpes type-1 (genital) from my ex who cheated on me. Could this effect my fertility? Please no rude comments about this.

Thanks so much for all of y’alls help :)
its so weird though because I have been pregnant twice and I was on birth control. After finding that cervial precancer cells i havent had any luck but I take the fertility test you get at the drug store and they say that my levels are good and stuff so idk. I just hope that its the cyst that are doing this.

BTW the cyst on my left ovary is the size of a grapefruit and the one on my right is the size of a small orange.

Ever since my first cysts my body has been out of wacko. Hot flashes, cramping, cysts that burst and cause bleeding for days, fatigue. Would hormone treatments help me? Should I go see an Endocrinologist? I cant take birth control because it makes me sick.

Ovarian cyst.I Need help.?

A month ago i got this horrible pain near my right ovaries. I was on my period (4th day)
Doctor had to come home and said i might have an ovarian cyst and that i need an ultrasound soon. Problem is appointments in ireland are crap. -.- ( still waiting)

I got my period 2 weeks early and i got very worried.

I checked with my doctor. She said i was fine and there was nothing wrong and that it could be alot of stress.

Problem is. I keep getting these tiny pains in the same place, but a little confused about what my doctor told me.

I checked about ovarian cyst symptoms and and early periods ( irregular) was one of them :/

should i be worried ? :(
Thank you all for your answers :)

Ovarian Cyst removal when pregnant? help!!?

Hi I went for my dating scan on Monday and they found a 10cm cyst on my ovary. I went straight in to see the doctor afterwards. He took blood and said it would be removed when the results came back. He said he wanted to do the Op by the time I reached 14 weeks and it will involve an open incision, not keyhole surgery. I have read a lot about cysts online and have seen that they are not usually removed without close monitoring to see if they are growing or have become twisted. It seems there will be more risk to do an op and remove it at such an early stage when it is likely to rupture on it’s own. I am going to see another doctor today to tell them my concerns about an op if it’s not necessary. Can anyone help with there own experiences of this, I would be so grateful. Thanks

Are these symptoms of an ovarian cyst?

I have been having sharp pains in my lower left side on and off for the past month and a half. Sometimes it also moves the right side, but that is rather unusual. I am thinking that it is an ovarian cyst but I am not positive. I have been having acne worse than normal lately. I am on birth control, but right before I began having these issues (about two months ago) I switched times of birth control so it may just be my body still adjusting to that. The week after I switched birth control times I was fooling around with a boy and he came on me and I felt myself to check if I was bleeding down below after that so I got nervous I somehow got pregnant (I know I am a worry-wort). I have never had full on sexual intercourse though. I took a couple pregnancy tests because I was nervous about why my body was freaking out so much and they all came back negative. I went to the doctor and did not voice my concerns about being pregnant since I had already taken about four pregnancy tests, but she felt around and said she did not feel anything abnormal but to go get an ultrasound during my winter break. Please help!
Additionally, I began getting my period after switching my birth control time, which I have not gotten on my birth control in over a year (which my doctor says is normal).

I suffer with ovarian cysts on both ovaries which always seem to grow 5 centimeters and over. I have had one removed in Feb 2011 and now I have two large ones on both ovaries that has to be surgically removed. My question is how long do I have to wait to have sex after the procedure? I’m trying to get pregnant soon and very soon before the cysts return again. So once they are surgically removed I want to try and get pregnant ASAP…

I am 50 years old and a year ago i went for some tests as i had heavy periods, they said i had a ovarian cyst and a small fibroid but that i had no precancerous cells in the womb and that everything was fine, but was peri menopausal , and as i am that age i accepted that i now Old have all kinds of strange things to put up with, BUT, i am still worried and need to know if what i am experiencing is normal or have i a bout of paranoia, i have just had a period on 22nd dec lasting 7 days and now i am having another after being off for a week, my mum died of cancer of the womb so i am getting stressed but dont want to keep pestering the Doctor as i have already had tests done, is there anyone that can give me advice? Thankyou

I’m 21 years old, and I’ve had hyperthyroidism since I was 16. I’ve read that having hyperthyroidism increases your risk of ovarian cancer by 80%. my numbers are well-controlled, and I plan to have iodine treatment done on my thyroid either in March (over spring break) or during the summer.

To complicate matters, I am also a DES granddaughter, which I’ve read can increase your risk of ovarian cancer as well. I do have very mild spastic diplegic cerebral palsy and an atrial septal defect (corrected at age 6) as a result of the DES. I was also born 7 weeks premature. Other than that, I’m perfectly healthy and active.

I do tend to worry a lot, but I’m worrying even more so now that I know there is alibi between DES granddaughters and ovarian cancer, plus the fact that I have thyroid problems. Am I worrying too much about this? I go to my gynecologist every year for check ups and she always says I am totally fine. I just think I’m worrying more than I should be because I have IBS and mild heartburn/acid reflux that I was diagnosed with at age 17, and I know these symptoms can be quite similar to ovarian cancer.

Also, I should mention that other than having extreme difficulty getting pregnant, my mom and aunt (ages 56 and 55, respectively) are both healthy as well. My cousin has had occasional ovarian cysts, but she had no trouble getting pregnant (she actually got pregnant using 2 forms of birth control!) and is otherwise healthy.

There is no history of ovarian or breast cancer in my family.

Do Ovarian cyst cause UTI symptoms?

I’ve had an Ovarian cyst for close to two months now and I’ve been receiving the same symptoms at a UTI. I was tested for a UTI and came back negative. I was also tested for STDs and came back negative as well. I have told my doctors and they have not been able to give me a straight answer. Does anyone possibly have any answers for me?

I’m 20 years old and I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in a surgery while removing an ovarian cyst. I have it from my left ovary to the right ovary.
Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue that behaves like the cells lining the uterus (endometrium) grows in other areas of the body, causing pain, irregular bleeding, and possible infertility.
The only way it can be remove in my case it’s by getting pregnant as soon as possible or by removing the uterus, ovaries, matrix, ect. I really want to have babies, I would love to be a mom one day, but I’m not ready for that now.
I was born in Cuba and I didn’t have so many things to make my childhood easier, I would love to have those things for my baby and be ready not only economic wise, also mental, social and physical. I am in a relationship, he supports me 100% but we are not ready for this step. I know he feels pressure so do I. We had plans on getting marry in 4 or 5 years and having babies at 29, 30. But I’m scare that if I way to much it would be harder to get pregnant.
Can any one help me with an advice, I would really appreciate it. Sometimes hearing people that you don’t know it kind of help a lot.
I don’t if I can I freeze my eggs with his sperm, or if a natural miscarriage will help the Endometriosis go away. I also heard artificial insemination, if this possible by having Endometriosis. What options do I have to get pregnant at 29 like we had plan. Please help!!
Thanks
