are Ovarian cyst and pain through hip and down leg related?
Was recently told I have an ovarian cyst, but it should go away on it’s own, after I had a mentrual period last twice as long as normal and had pain during a pap. At times, I have pretty decend pain that comes and goes in waves.. on one side of my abdomen, that goes into my hip and down my leg. Feels very similiar to when I ruptured 2 discs back there. Any recommendations? or is it just expected?

It is possible. Earlier this year I had what was originally thought to be an ovarian cyst (but turned out to be a fibroid inside left ovary) that caused my sciatica (shooting nerve pain down leg) to go completely off the chart. Not fun.
Please call your GYN and left him/her know that your pain is increasing and also where it is located.
