No, pregnancy test are testing for a hCG, a hormone produced during pregnancy. An ovarian cyst will not produce that hormone. However, pregnancy itself can cause an ovarian cyst.

No, but I think an ectopic pregnancy can have similar symptoms as an ovarian cyst, so if you did get a positive and are having that pain, you might want to see your doctor just to rule this out.
