My last month period was just spotting and light, but I just had an ultrasound done and I have a cyst on my right ovary. Can the cyst cause my different period?

Yes, ovarian cysts can affect your periods. Symptoms of ovarian cysts can include:
* Pelvic pain – constant, dull aching
* Pain with intercourse or pelvic pain during movement
* Pain during bowel movements
* Pelvic pain shortly after beginning or ending a menstrual period
* Abnormal uterine bleeding (change from normal menstrual pattern)
* Longer than usual menstrual cycle
* Shorter than usual menstrual cycle
* Absent menstruation
* Irregular menstruation
* Abdominal bloating or swelling
Often no symptoms are noted and ovarian cysts are found only be routine examinations.
I would recommend that if you have any concerns regarding your cyst or experience any pain that does not ease after pain medication that you consult with your doctor for further evaluation.
Good luck
yes google ovarian cyst please!
Hi at times it will.. But its good to always get yourself checked frequently and eradicate tablets or the doctors will flush it out with a sample tool. Period can vary but best is consult the doctor.
There are different sorts of cysts and it will depend on the type you have. Basically the fact that you have a cyst on the organ that produces some of your hormones that regulate your cycle, will mean that those hormones are being produced as they should be. One of the options is that you have a chocolate cyst, this would imply that you have endometriosis. The cyst actually contains blood, but as it is stale it looks like chocolate.
