Can Ovarian Cysts Give These Symptoms?
Since the urine and blood pregnancy tests at the local health dept were negative and they do not have the capability to perform ustrasounds, I will be seeing a proper Obgyn next week. But before I do that, can you shed some light on this?
I’ve read that ovarian cysts can give you cramps, sore boobs, lower back pain, and nausea (all of which I have. I’m thinking maybe my symptoms are a result of an ovarian cysts and not a pregnancy. My question is, can it (the ovarian cysts) also give you headaches, increase your appetite, give a metallic/sour taste in the mouth, sleepiness, nose bleeds, increase saliva(all of which I also have)?
Thanks ladies! I have googled ovarian cysts last night and that is how I found out the symptoms of it (cramps, sore boobs, nausea, back pain). But it did not say anything about the rest of the symptoms I am also having. Next week seems like eternity for me right now.

I don’t know about all of your symptoms, but the changes in hormones resulting from various causes (PMS, PCOS, and others) can cause some of them. The headaches and sleepiness can be from the tension in your body due to the cramps and lower back pain. The sour taste can be from your nausea. The increase in appetite is something that I had all of the time around my cycle. I would eat a lot before and then during my bleeding, I would not be able to eat at all. The increase in saliva can be secondary to your appetite changes. And nose bleeds often happen with hormone changes.
So I guess the answer to your question would be yes, the cysts can cause all of those as well, but it might not always be a direct cause.
If you are concerned, you can ask your Obgyn. They will be able to help you with some of the different problems.
Go on google and research..you can find everything you need to know online…gooluck!
I have had many ovarian cysts. I have felt similar symptoms. Mainly I felt alot of pain.
mmmm well I don’t know how long since your last period but I really sympathise with you because the waiting for an appointment is horrible when you just want to know. Well, as a mum and mum to be, the symptoms you have would send anyone running for another test because they are so similar to pregnancy symptoms and I really don’t know anything about ovarian cyst symptoms – maybe try googling the symptoms for it. The metal mouth bit is always a give away for me but without a positive test I wouldnt like to say. If pregnancy is what you wish for, then I hope that you are and would love to hear how things go.
Im afraid i dont know much about this…sorry
