Can sex cause an ovarian cyst to hurt more?

I was told about a month ago that I had a bleeding cyst. I woke up out of a dead sleep with horrible stabbing pain and many trips to the bathroom. I was told that I need to wait about 8 weeks and then do another ultrasound to see if anything has changed. It seems like evertime my husband and I have sex that the cyst hurts really really bad, but it takes hours for it to start hurting. Is this normal with a cyst?

You need to go see a doctor,but yes it is normal.People do get it everyday.The doctor will need to perform surgery to get it removed,you may have to rest a few days afterwards.You need to go to the doctor before it gets to big,b.c. they do get bigger & bigger,and the more it grows the more it will hurt.

Yes, it’s perfectly normal for a large cyst to cause pain with sex.
the answer to your question is absolutely yes…..i had the same situation as you and every time hubby was about……it hurt like h*ll
ask him to not go so deep …. that was helpful for me when i had this condition. GOOD LUCK

yes it can ,cause the man is pushing on your interior wall and the way he moves is also putting pressure
I agree. Report this change and see your physician. 4 weeks is too far off and the cyst can rupture, placing your life at risk.
