Recently, I ended up in the emergency room due to sudden abdominal pain. A CT scan and an ultrasound (both outside and inside) revealed that I had two cysts the the size of golf balls on my ovaries. The right one ruptured and sent me to the ER, but the left one is still intact. Upon going to my local ob-gyn, she refused to authorize surgery. The cysts were shown to be complex–both fluid and blood filled. I experience pressure constantly and pain almost daily. The doctor prescribed me some vicodin but I try not to take it since I cannot drive or really function on such narcotics. The local ob-gyn has basically told me to wait 6 weeks and then go back for another ultrasound to check on the cysts.

However, I can’t help but feel worried about the left cyst rupturing, and I don’t think it’s practical to limit my exercise and mobility to prevent rupture. I also don’t feel like the "wait and see" approach is healthy. Am I being unreasonable or should I get a second opinion?

I have two ovary cyst on one ovary and i think i have another one on my other ovary, can someone plz tell me how to get rid of it. i really want some one with experiance to help me through this,,,but if you know a way plz let me know because i really dont want surgery..

1st Question- My cycle is between 40-45 days, I have a period every month so, are my periods considered regular or irregular?

2nd Question- I had an ob/gyn doctors appointment today for the first time in my life, I am 23 and I went because I have been trying to conceive for a little over 2 years with no success. I do have one child that’s 4 but, since then have not been able to conceive. The doctor performed what seemed like a pap smear (with her fingers in my vagina while feeling and pressing down on my belly) and she said that it feels like I may have an ovarian cyst. She then scheduled me for another appointment to come back in for an ultrasound on Sept 8. She also wants me to get blood work done but, not until my period stats (2-3 days after it starts) they will be checking my prolactin levels, hormones, thyroid and a few other things I believe but, not sure what they are. I do have breast milk in my left breast but, it doesn’t just leak or come out unless I make it come out so, can that cause infertility?.. Are ovarian cysts serious and can it/they also cause infertility? I’m asking this because unfortunately she wasn’t all that thorough with me or patient, she kind of rushed through everything and didn’t want to listen to me or explain things very well. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have a cyst on my right ovay, and I have heard that functional cysts only get about 1.5-3cm. Mine is 8cm (roughly 4 inches). Is it possible that this isn’t functional and it is a different fluid inside like blood or something worse? I don’t know if should be worried about this or not. What is the possibility that because this cyst is so big that it could aggravate my appendix, and would I know if it burst (the cyst)? Plus do I need surgey and would I possibly loose my ovary?

i have a big cyst and i want to know will it cause any pain or damage will it be harmfull to have sexual intercourse…please be accurate in your answer.

My wife is 9 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound 3 weeks ago which showed a 4cm ovarian cyst. She is having excruciating pain everyday which may subside for a few minutes to an hour then comes back strongly. We had another ultrasound 5 days ago and the cyst was measured at about 4.3cm. The nurse practitioner we saw was nice but I felt she downplayed the symptoms. The pains my wife feels usually confines her to the couch and she can’t even go to the rest room! She says its the worst pain she has ever felt. We are dead worried and not sure what to do. Our next Dr’s appointment is in 1 month!
Any ideas or suggestions?

On Thursday, I was taken to the ER for severe lower abdominal and lower back pain. After a CT scan, they said that they found fluid which could possibly mean a ruptured ovarian cyst. Well, I have actually had this happen before, but I don’t remember the pain being this intense!! My question is, if you’ve had this happen to you, was the pain very intense, and how long were you in pain?? I still can hardly walk the pain is so bad, and pain medicine has not worked at all! Can anybody relate to this??

I had surgery the 1st of the month to diagnose why I was having pelvic pain. Come to find out I have endometriosis, also a blocked fallopian tubes(they were filled with fluid and about to rupture) , adhesions and I had some large ovarian cysts that were biopsied. Me and the Hubby have been TTC for 2 years now, with no luck. The Dr believes now since he did the surgery I may be able to get pregnant.

However. Iam hurting incredibly bad. I was under the impression that after the surgery I wouldnt cramp. I went to the Dr this AM. He stated that he believes Im hurting is because of my endometriosis. I was like wth, didnt I just pay ,000 on a surgery to remove all endo. Ugh I was so aggravated

Now my option is, be in pain even more, try for a baby and pray that it happens, OR I can go on some kind of shot that will put me into menopause for 6 months, he also said that I will also be given medicine to stop with hot flashes and all that nastiness.

I talked this over with the Hubby and he says its my decision. He doesnt want to see me hurting, But we do want a baby. Im 22 years old. What if the shots make me to where I will never be able to have a baby.

I just dont know what to do. Can anyone give me any Ideas? I feel so lost

I have a ovarian cyst on my left ovary.. The reason why they found this is because they gave me and ultrasound because I was having pain on the right in between my belly button and hip. Could the cyst be causing this pain or are they unrelated?

and if so for how long after will it take for the fluid to drain.i think it has been about 2 months since it burst and i have not had diahrrea in about 2 weeks but i fear it will come back.plz if u know anything ot have had an experiance with this…tell me.i guess the when it burst the exess fluid out alot of pressure on my bowles but the diahrrea was intermitent.
