Can Ovarian Cysts come and go each month? Do they appear and burst at ovulation or during your actual period? And also I was wondering if just having cysts can cause you to feel really sick during ovulation…with nausea or lightheadedness/dizziness and general ill feeling or weakness? Or is it only when they are bursting do they cause those symptoms? I seem to experience severe pain for 24-48 hours one month and then the next month I have about 4-5 days of just nausea/dizziness/lightheadedness. Could a large cyst cause severe pain from my right ovary and then maybe if I’m ovulating from the left ovary the next month it could just be some nausea experienced if there’s a smaller cyst on my left ovary?
I don’t know for certain if I have cysts…pap smear and pelvic exam turned out okay 1.5 years ago, but then I had a copper iud placed and ever since then have had severe pain, which after a year has now turned into rotating bouts of pain and nausea/lightheadedness.

I heard that it either means that the egg was not released properly and so it caused fluid to fill up in a cyst, or that the egg was simply not fertilized. Which, if either, is true?

Two days before my period was due, I had to go to the hospital bc an ovarian cyst i didnt know i had ruptured. Friday was one week since it happened. On sunday morning i had some cramps but no period.

Can this cause me to miss a period? They took a urine sample AND did an external and internal ultrasound. Wouldnt they have seen if i was pregnant?

I’m 18, frequent smoker, and have been diagnosed with an abnormal amount of ovarian cysts on both of my ovaries. However, my right side constantly has this somewhat large bulge thats not painful to touch, but rather uncomfortable. I should be due for my period but it’s never regular. I’m wondering if it may just be because I’m skinny, or its poop? I haven’t a clue. I went and had an ultrasound for it once before but nothing but a lot of cysts showed up. Very confusing

I started working out a little over two weeks ago. My stomach feels flat when I am done working out, but as soon as I eat something it bloats back up. I do have a lot of excess fat on my stomach and since having my appendectomy in 2004 the fat has dropped (due to the incision going down the center of my stomach). Anyway, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) 10 years or so ago. I was also diagnosed with a 4" fibroid on my uterus about six months ago. The doctor said it didn’t need to be removed, so I left it at that. But what is my stomach always so bloated? The only time it isn’t bloated is if I don’t eat any food at all.

I was diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) about 8 years or so ago, but really don’t have any symptoms from that except stomach cramping, bloating and gas (especially in the morning).

Will I still be able to lose weight and tone my stomach up even though I have the cysts and fibroid, or will my stomach forever stick out?

I was diagnosed with a 4cm cyst (don’t know what kind) on my left ovary in March this year as i have been having random periods since November (I would bleed for 8 days and finish for 5 and bleed again).

I came off the pill in September so that me and my partner could try for another child. 9 months later and still no luck. I was wondering whether this has anything to do with my cyst and the amount of times i bleed so i don’t know when i’m actually ovulating.

My doctor has recently prescribed me Mefenamic Acid tablets to stop the bleeding. Does this make my chances of falling pregnant lower or should it not affect me?

I’m being referred back to the gyno to discuss having the cyst removed as it’s making me very unhappy and losing weight rapidly with the amount i bleed.

Can anyone help me out as what is happening to me and what i can do about it?
