About 2 months ago, I had started bleeding and cramping when I wasn’t supposed to be having my period. The pain was so intense that I finally went to the doctor. Had an ultrasound- turns out I had a lemon-sized cyst on my right ovary. The doctor wants to leave it alone and check on it in 3 months. Haven’t had any irregular bleeding since, but I do have pain there when I’m ovulating. Anyways, I’ve done some reading about cysts, but I still can’t figure out why I had irregular bleeding. And this was not just spotting- it was as heavy as a period and it lasted for about 3 days. Is this normal?
Oh, and I had a pap smear after that and it was normal.

I’ve been having this nagging pain in my lower left abdomen, about the area of the bikini line, maybe lower. It’s in a very specific spot and has been bothering me for a few weeks now.

Could it be caused by an ovarian cyst?

I have a history of ovarian cysts. Mostly left side.
When I do not exercise much and drink 2 cups of tea instead of one for months I usually get a cyst.
Now since a week
I have gained 2-3 pounds suddenly
I have discharge even after ovulation ended
I am having bloating and pain down my leg and left side

Are these things common.

In October my scan showed a tiny cyst in the left side, a functional one, but then things got back to normal soon only I never felt ovulation on the left side after that,ONLY right.

Now again I am having same pain.

I am so worried about ovarian cancer. I am 32, no history but so worried. Please help

ok. heres the deal. i took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it came back positive. i took it because i skipped my period this month (didnt get it for may) so naturally i think im pregnant. then yesterday i was having sex with my fiance and got horrible cramping down there. i looked it up online and it says women with ovarian cysts can get pain and cramping while having sex. should i be worried? i fell asleep with the pain and it went away. can ovarian cysts cause a positive pregnancy test?

I have a 3.5cm cyst that is causing some major discomfort, not only in my abdomen but also in my legs, they are so achy and sore, I have been taking lots of advil but nothing will get rid of this dull, achy breaky feeling.
I don’t have a gyno yet I asked my gp for a referal last time and she insisted I didn’t need one. I thought it was pretty customary for a woman to have a gyno. Isn’t it? Well regardless what my GP says, I am switching to a new gp in the new year and will also be requesting a gyno referal.

I am in so much pain with my period right now. I have an ovarian cystic mass which is being removed next month via a laparoscopy but my period is really painful. It’s not ever been this bad before and I am feeling really light headed with it too.

i was just diagnosed with a 4cm cyst on my right ovary. it’s very painful and the dr thinks it’s been there for several months.

I have been having mood swings the past few months and wonder if the cyst could be causing them. i’ve been moody,weepy,irritable and depressed.

i was told if the cysts doesn’t burst or shrink on it’s own-i have to get surgery done to remove it. will this stop the mood swings?

Over the past month i`ve been losing alot of hair! I was not alarmed because i have alot anyway! But… About a week ago i woke up in the middle of the night with shaking and chills and a 104 fever! I took motrin and the fever went down, deciding to follow up in morning w my pcp! The fever had returned by morning just as high along with horrible pelvic and back pain mostly on my left side but radiating to the right as well! He sent me directly to the ER for a Ct scan. They told me i have bilateral ovarian cysts and advised me to follow up w my obgyn this week(am doing)! They also said i have a UTI that caused the fever! Well, ive been on the antibiotics for 4 days along with percocet both which are not relieving the pain or fevers! Idk what the problem is and my apt w my obgyn isnt until tues! I truly feel there is something bad but i dont think they would have let me go home if it was "that" bad right? The pain is far worse than anything ive felt b4!! I had a parial hysterectomy in 07! Any ideas?
