So I’ve had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary and we found it less than a month ago. (they found it in a sono after a miscarriage) I schelduled a tubal ligation and since my cyst has been painful to get it removed. Well I was really bloated all the time and the cyst caused me pain. My surgery isn’t until June (there was no other openings) and the pain and all that went away for awhile. But now its back bloated and pain on my right side. Can cysts go back and forth like be big one week and go down, bach and forth with sizes? I don’t know how other to word it but it went away and is now back…

When I was 18 and I had an ovarian cyst that was 12cm in length. As a result I had to have my right ovary removed. I have been having fertility investigations and they discovered a cyst on the right side that is not as big about 4cm. I am having it removed and I would like to know my chances of conceiving once it is removed. i am not having any pain. can i still have a baby if they have to remove some ovarian tissue. please help me.

One of the felopian tupes was removed. Both of the ovaries, however, remain there. They said the other felopian tupe is a bit stretched but remains normal.
I’m still 15 by the way so… I don’t plan to have kids for a good 10 years.

Although they didn’t end up removing
anything because when they got inside, they saw that my
body had absorbed the cyst, I was wondering
if it was still
okay to have an orgasm? I was told
not to have sexual intercourse for 2 weeks, but is it the same with clitoral stimulation? especially considering they didn’t end up removing anything.

I have PCOS and my doctor found a cyst that is more than 5 inches on my ovary. I have an appointment to go back in 6 weeks and if it has not gotten smaller I will probably have to have it removed. I was just wondering, what is the surgery like? Where do they go in, where do they cut, etc. Will I have scars and will it hurt? Will it damage anything?

Hi, I’m 19 years old and have a past medical history with ovarian cysts. two years ago i had one rupture and caused me to be rushed to the emergency room because of it and i have since had three others that have not ruptured but, each on the same ovary and the size of a walnut or larger. I am very scared that this will cause me to not be able to conceive children of my own, or possible even have to have my ovary removed because they keep recurring and are painful. Do any of you women have any stories or are knowledgeable of this matter that could possible give me any insight? It would be much appreciated..

My DH and I lost our first born to stillbirth at 37 weeks, full term. No known cause of death. We are ttc #2 now for 4 months, and I found out that I had a softball sized ovarian cyst on my left ovary. I had it surgically removed last week. Doc said that the cyst could have been preventing pregnancy due to hormones.
My last AF was Oct 9. I was supposed to O Oct 25th with 30 day cycles (i’m pretty regular). We weren’t allowed to BD this past weekend because of my surgery….ugh!
1. Could the removal of the cyst throw off my cycle?
2. Is it possible to ovulate early due to the removal of the cyst?
3. Is it possible to ovulate later than normal now that it’s gone?
4. Has anyone experienced this before? Please advise! We want to get prego ASAP!!!
Thanks to all advising, and baby dust and baby blessings to all TTC!

I’m having surgery to remove a 21cm x 11cm (8” x 5") dermoid cyst on my right ovary. To me this seems like a fairly large sized piece of mass they will be removing and my question was whether this procedure was going to make my weight or more importantly my waistline smaller … I have a wedding dress which has already been fitted and was seeing if I needed to schedule another fitting.

I have a 5cm simple cyst on my ovaries and it causes sharp pains from time to time. It has caused me to have 2 periods in 1 month and bleed heavily. MY Dr put me on birth control, does this shrink it or will it dissolve? What happens if it ruptures, do I just take a bunch of Advil and call my Dr the next morning? Anyone have this before?

i just done my abdominal sonography, every thing is normal, but i have heard some where that this may reoccur within 2 yrs and would be cancer , is there any one who had the same problem?
The ovarian cyst which i removed was non-cancer and after the fill AB sonography Doc said that the other overy is working in very normal condition, but i heard one of such case in which the cyst again occured and was detected as cancer , so i am very disturbed after listening such news, so i want to confirm is there any body who had undergone such situation or else?

Ultrasound shows a "simple" cyst. (not likely cancerous)
alone? It really doesn’t hurt me much – just a little achy at times.
I have concerns about anesthesia.
Thanks everyone who answers.

Two days ago I found out that I have a large cyst on my right ovary and a smaller one on the left. I have already scheduled the surgery but it is 4 weeks away. I have a physically demanding job and don’t know if I should begin light duty, for fear that the cyst could burst prior to surgery. The pain in not manageable with OTC pain relievers OR heat. I intend to ask my doctor these questions soon, but need some advice in the meantime.

I was stunned! I am of the opinion that EVERY organ has a purpose, and why remove a HEALTHY ORGAN? Is there any recourse I can take?
Reply to FU: GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES! Every organ has a purpose, MORON!
