Where abouts are these scars on ones body?

i was having severe abdominal pain for a few days, it got really bad and was followed by fever and vomiting, my mom was assuming i had an ovarian cyst since its common in the family and i was in horrible pain so we went to the E.R. the doctor felt around my stomach and said he felt something move where i told him it hurt so we did an ultra sound where we found nothing. i was there for a few hours an left. im on depo provera an i havent had a period in probably 2 years, after they removed the catheter i went home. it hurt so bad to urinate for a few days and i started getting this really dark almost black spotting. im assuming its just old blood since i havent had a period? how long should this last?!
@ heather, no i havent changed any methods, ive been on depo for 2 years, thats why i havent had a period.i was thinking the catheter being all the way up in there may have caused like a mini period to come. but im not sure. this is the first bleeding ive had in 2 years

Ovarian Cyst in a Heart Patient?

hi,
my mom has an ovarian cyst that is 11 cm big. it has mostly fluids and a little bit of mass in it. right now it is not cancerous but the doctors want her to get a blood test every couple of months to make sure it stays that way. my mom also has chronic heart disease. she has 2 stents in her heart so the doctors cant give her medication (birth control pills) to decrease the size of the cyst. unfortunately, the cyst keeps on growing so the doctors are scared that it might spin itself around and cut off the circulation in the fallopian tubes. the obgyn recommends an operation to remove the cyst but in order to have the operation my mom must be off her heart medication for at least 3 months. obviously the heart doctor says that she cannot do that or she will have an increased chance of having another heart attack. so right now, we are scared that the cyst might do something that would require immediate surgery because if they take my mom into surgery, there’s a chance that she might not make it (because of her heart medication)

does anyone know any alternative medication for birth control pills or anything else that will not affect the heart?

i would TRULY appreciate any ideas to help us out here

thanks
her heart meds include lipitor, aspirin, metopralol, benazapril, & plavix

the doctor said she can only come off the meds in 6 months

Exercise after ovarian cyst removal?

My doctor restricted me from doing exercise for 2 months since my wound has to heal from the inside (wound in the outside is healed already) to prevent a hernia. My surgery was July 27th so a couple of weeks had past by…point is i’m the type of girl that has to be in top of her figure since i can gain weight easily. Ever since my surgery i haven’t worked out and you can already tell the weight gain on me specially in my face. I need to start a diet but we all know a good effective diet has to be combined with exercise to get results, specially in my face. I can’t even go jogging my doc said, so what can i do???? Any tips that can help plz? Would it really affect me if i do light exercise?

I was brought to the emergency room due to unbearable right flank pain. MRI was done, and they found out that I have a right ureteral stone and seen a probable right dermoid/ovarian cyst. The Urologist suggested for a surgery. I went to see my Primary Physician for the first time because of my MRI result which is the ureteral stone and the dermoid/ovarian cyst. She sent me to have a transvaginal ultrasound for the cyst that was found in my right ovary during my ER visit, and thru the ultrasound it was found out that I have an ovarian cyst that is not too bad.

After a few months, I received a bill from the the ultrasound because my health insurance wont cover it because my Primary Physician said that it is a Preexisting Condition. Her reason was that, "she did not seen me yet and the cyst was found out in the MRI before I established with her" , although she already accepted me as her patient but i did not went to see her because I have no illness during that time.

Ovarian Cysts Removal Surgery?

I was seen at the ER last night because I was having a lot of pain the past three days. After waiting there for 4hours, and drinking some horrendous drink, I got called back for my CT. Only about 15 minutes later, I was informed I have a 9cm ovarian cyst, and got sent to an ultrasound. They said it was liquid filled, but was way to large to go down by itself and I would need surgery.
I have no idea what to expect though, and I know these are things i will talk about with a Dr. but I want opinions of people that have had it before. How long is recovery? What do they do exactly? How is the pain?
And i know theres probably nothing, but if you catch it early enough can you take antibiotics to make it go away? (in the future)

I have to go back to school though immediately, the day after and I want to know if that will be bad.
I’m 14 and a Junior in highschool, I will also have to sit at my cheer practice (not participating) for 3 hours everyday after school.
So any advice or info would be much appreciated.

Ovarian cyst surgery?

My doctor found a cyst on my left ovary and its the size of a golf ball and she told me that i need a surgery to get it removed..I have been in so much pain the last 2-3 weeks, my back is been killing me and i have sharp pain in my lower left abdomen, really bad nausea and i just feel terrible..Am wondering after all this that I have been through and after i have my ovarian cyst removed is it possible for me to still get pregnant??? my doctor says that this has nothing to do with u=you getting pregnant but i have been trying for months and its not happening..did anyone have the same experience????

Why have I gone 3 months without a period?

I’m a virgin, so there is no possible way I’m pregnant.
I started my period when I was about 12, and I’m 15 currently. My period has been pretty steady for 2 years.
Last september I had surgery. I had an ovarian cyst, which resulted in the removal of one of my ovaries. I had my period the day of the surgery, and the day of the next surgery about 3 weeks later. Since then my period has been consistent. It has always been near the end of the month, but I haven’t had a period since the end of May-why?

Okay, well, I’m 17, and my girlfriend Melanie is 18 (yes, we’re lesbians, so if that’s a problem with you, no need to answer), and recently (Monday morning) she had surgery to get an ovarian cyst removed. She was diagnosed with cancer when she was 10, and this November, she will be cancer-free for five years. However, because of this, the doctor was more concerned about her cyst. She has a large cut in her abdomen where they removed it and it is all stitched up. She came home Thursday evening, and I’ve been staying with her family so I could help her out when her parents are at work, because she feels more comfortable with me helping her out than her brother. Well, Melanie is a very energetic, active person, so she’s becoming very antsy, but she’s also still in a lot of pain where they cut her open, so she’s spending a lot of time sleeping, and resting. However, Melanie also normally has a VERY high sex drive, and her surgery hasn’t changed that at ALL. It’s probably actually higher. She thinks that it would be fine for us to have sex if there’s no penetration, which obviously isn’t a problem for us, anyways, but it sort of worries me. Would it be okay for us to have sex this soon after her operation if there’s no penetration involved and she’s not pushing herself too hard, physically? It makes me nervous, but she’s climbing the walls, and her sex drive is through the roof, she wants it so bad. Would we be okay to have sex if there’s no penetration, or is it better to wait a little longer?
No need for comments about our sexuality…
