I have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary and my doctor want to remove the cyst, ovary and tube. The surgery is set for Tuesday the 11th. The problem is my husband and I are professional disc jockeys and have a wedding reception on Saturday that is about 4 hours away. My family is driving me crazy saying there is no way I can do this. Has anyone out there that has had this done (not know of someone)? How long did it take to recover? My husband is going to do all the setting of the equipment up…All I will be doing is the playing of the music. I know of all the chances of infection. Can you tell me what to expect after I have this done?? Kind of worried!! Thanks to all…

On 6/9 I had to have my appendix removed, and a burst ovarian cyst taken care of, on 6/20 I had 7 teeth removed (do to mostly genetics and a lack of dental care growing up, my dad suffered from gum disease and had all teeth removed by age 25) I also had 2 root canals in the same day. My dentist did not prescribe antibiotics post op and I am not sure if they still do I took 2 cyclosporins pre removal due to knee replacements ( inherited RA) I have been living on protein shakes, yougurt, and soup since, for the last 3 days and to add to it I have had horrible diarrhea and stomach cramps, along with a horrible taste in my mouth. I don’t know what to do, should I call the dentist to see if I picked an infection? should I call my family doctor or should I call my surgeon to see if I have a late blooming complication from my appendectomy?

I just found out yesterday that the excruciating shooting pains up my right side was from a small cyst on my right ovary.
I’ve taken vicadon so the pain is more of a dull throbbing.
But I just wanted to know how long the cyst is going to be there?
& what happens if you do end up needing surgery.. ):

Hi I was 25 in April and was invited for my first smear the day after but I put it off for 2 months and finally went 8th June, a week later I got my results, CIN 2. I’m really really scared! Iv got to go for a colposcopy at the hospital on 11th July. Iv had 2 children, one when I was 19 and one when I was 21. I had an ectopic at 23 and 2 miscarriages soon after, iv never been for my six week check ups. I had an implanon fitted after my last misscarraige November 2009. Because I had it fitted the day after my Miscarraige started I thought it was normal to bleed for 6 months. Then it stopped and I was in alot of pain and had an operation to remove a large ovarian cyst. This was a year ago and I still get alot of pain in my ovary and deep in my pelvis, I’m assuming this is adesions from my 2 ops (Fallopian tube removal for ectopic, and ovarian cyst removal) my periods remained painful but regular to the date. My last period started 2 days after my smear but wasn’t painfull, or heavy, it was just spotting. It’s lasted for 2 weeks now and I’ve only just got period pains today. I did a pregnancy test yesterday just to make sure. Negative. I asked a nurse if the smear could have messed my period up and she said no chance. I’m really sorry for rambling on! I’m so nervous. And to top it off, I watched the LEEP video on YouTube and now I can’t sleep. Has anyone gone through anything like this? Thankyou so much

Has anyone have suction aspiration on their ovarian cyst? I was told i have a 3.5mm ovarian cyst on my right ovary. The doctor suggested i could have an suction aspiration to remove the chocolate liquid instead of doing surgery. Then i will be doing an IUI on Clomid.

Has anyone has this done before? Did it hurt?

I have a laparoscopic surgery scheduled for a friday for suspected endometriosis. I scheduled this surgery a few weeks ago and I forgot that I was going to go to a football game on the sunday after. I’ve had laparoscopic surgery done 2 years ago for an ovarian cyst and I remember feeling fine the next day, so I was wondering if it would still be possible to attend the football game on sunday after surgery on friday? Please anyone help!!

I have been in and out of the doctors all months to figure out what’s the severe sharp pain in my mid back and my right side would have spasms. First it was a kidney infection and a uti.. got my antibiotics and took that whole prescription like I was suppose to. Next day pains right back. So I go to the doctor again. And then he thought I was sinsitive in my women area and thought it was another infection. He gave me antibiotics again and ordered me to see a gyno asap. So next day I went. And he examined me and I was just really sinsitive. So he ordered a sonagram. So I went the next day and got it. And by this time the pain is unbearable and he looks and sees a lot of fluid around my right ovaries. Then he thinks I have appendicitis and he thinks mu appendix ruptured. So got rushed into surgery. Came back to it. And he told me. I had a ruptured cyst and I was bleeding internally, I’m severely constipated. My livers stuck ( not functioning like it should cause of infections) and I’m probably going to have problems with my liver and my appendix. But my concern is I’m si tired but can’t really sleep. My heads killing me, and all that pain I had in my back before I went to surgery is back and worse. I’m getting so irritable and snappy at everyone and no one wants to be around. I don’t like this and I just want to be better. But idk what to do cause my Dr. On vacation, and I’m so mad at his nurses for sending me back to work 4 days. Later, and I lift 120 + pound people all day. With 3 places. I have stitches including inside my belly button. Am I still suppose to be in this much pain, and tired, and enraged all the time? I need advice PLEASE HELP! !!!!!!!!

I notice it more when i shower or brush my hair. It used to happen before but now its worse. Could it be that after ovarian cyst surgery that is why this is happening? I have no kids either. I read that it could do something with thyroid. Help!
WHOA!!! no way is it alopecia! its just like 15 hairs come out when i brush or shower.

had scan showing small cyst, doc offered open surgery, not happy.
