i had 2 mc in the last 4 months and an ovarian cyst surgery a year ago.

When I was younger they found some cysts on my ovaries but I wasn’t diagnosed with pcos! However now I am 24 and I have recently been diagnosed with it. I have hairy arms, I get hair on my upper lip and chin, some on my stomach and abdomen and the left hand side chest area. This is causing me a lot of misery and when I go and get it waxed it’s fine for a short while but then I have to leave it to grow again before I go and get waxed. I feel so rubbish and down about myself and disgusted! It’s not a huge mass of hair but it is definately visible, It is putting me off going out some days and I worry what people think all the time. I feel so low about myself and I already can pick so many faults with my appearance without this as well! I cannot currently afford laser hair removal and I am wondering if anybody knows any other ways of removing such horrible hair growth apart from the standard routes such as plucking, shaving, depilatory cream and waxing etc? Also if anybody else has pcos and can offer some friendly advice about pcos in general I would be very grateful! It would be nice to feel I am not alone as the few people I trust enough to tell just don’t understand.

When I was 14, Back in August of 2010 I was admitted to the hospital for an ovarian cyst of 35cm which shrunk down to 5cm
I then had surgery to remove the cyst. This obviously did not guarantee that I would never get another one.

A month after the surgery, my symptoms started developing slowly. Doctor after doctor, test after test. On the day of my 15th birthday, I was told these right ovarian cysts would be a problem for me that perhaps (very unlikely), contraceptives could not cure. My left ovary is not working right. I run the risk of ectopic pregnancy when I’m old enough to have kids, and they want that ovary out by the time I’m 20.

If my right ovary continues to give me problems, I need to get surgery to remove the cyst, and most likely, the ovary.

I just got told I had another cyst, today. It’s finals week. I need to go to school despite the severity of my pain because I need to take my exams. But my doctor doesn’t want my condition to get worse, or climb stairs as much.

What should I do? What would happen if I continued to do "strenuous exercise" when I already have a large cyst? I’m trying not to stress despite the pain and severity. But I can’t focus on my studies :/

I have posted this question before. But not getting the answer I want.

I have had pain for the last 6 months. I was seen at the hospital almost 3 months ago and I had a cyst the size of a golfball. My DR said he wanted to keep an eye on it so a month later I had another ultrasound and it grew to the size a little bigger than a baseball. He wants to remove it now. I have my surgery on the 7th. He thinks he can take it out laproscopic.

My question is, are my chances pretty good on that? I’m afraid its even bigger and when I’m under the knife he will have to do open surgery.

I am a single mom of a 9 month old and am so scared that I will have the open surgery and my recovery will be longer and need more help with my son.

Anyone with similar experience?

I know the recovery for laproscopic. I don’t want to know about that. But I want to know about chances of me having an open surgery? How big is TOO big for laproscopic?

Please help me. I’m driving myself insane because I won’t find out how it went til I wake up

bec. i was diagnosed recently to have a septated left ovarian cyst and causing me a lot of pain,shoulder pain.i cant sit long time bec. of pelvic pain and my painpill is not enough.the cyst measures 2.6×2.8cm.is it possible to undergo surgery?what if my doctor will tell me to treat like drinking contarceptive pill?i cant tolerate the pain for 3-6 months.please help..i need an answer asap.thanks a lot!!!

For about 3-4 years now, ive had extreme stomach pain on and off and have gone to the ER for it multiple times. I’m terriffied of needles so wen i refused to do the lab work, they didn’t think any other tests were necesary. over a year and a half ago i started feeling a lump about an inch/half inch or so maybe?? above my left hip bone in my lower left abdomen, but no docters ever took it seriously, just thought i was constipated. but I wasnt, because i think i wouldve noticed if i was… I was definetly going to the bathroom regularly and wenever i was put on laxitives they didnt make me go to the bathroom any more than usual. I live with my dad and im 13, and wen i went to visit my mom for vacation last month, she felt the "bump" (which causes me severe pain and is often sticking out, sometimes visible even) and decided to take me to the docters. They did an xray and again said i was "constipated" but on the ultra sound they found a small cyst on my right ovary (which i am feeling much pain from as well, i dont have exact measurments) and a 7cm cyst on my left, and they said the entire ovary was enlarged. Could this go away?! will i need surgery??? i kind of want it just so i wont have to have this constant pain anymore… im begging someone to answer this question. Could something be wrong with me for having two cysts?! please help, im scared!

How are ovarian cysts removed…is the patient under anesthisia in the surgery section of a hospital or is the removal done with the patient awake but the whole pelvic area numb????

Hi I am 13 I have PCOS and a lil over a year ago I had emergency surgery to remove a 19cm ovarian cyst off my right ovary but there were 2 others on my left ovary that the doctor left there he said they would be ok but if they got bigger he’d remove them(I still don’t see why he didn’t do it then..) Anyways here lately I have been having really bad ovary pain(not as bad as b4 but still bad) My stomach looks bigger like it did b4 but some ppl think it could be just scar tissue..most think its another cyst but I’m really afraid if I go to the doctor b/c he’ll just say I’m fine or send me for and ultrasound. An ultrasound would be fine except they couldn’t find the last one on an ultrasound they found it on a CT Scan in the ER. What would you do?

P.S. All the Doctor’s said I was fine b4 too until I ended up in emergency surgery!

I am a 26yr old female and I have PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome/disease) this causes me to be infertile, ovarian cysts, skin condition changes. This syndrome is incurable, and also causes me to have a hormon produced in my body called androgens, which is a male hormone. Unfortunatly Androgens cause me to grow facial hair… in particular a mini mustache. This is VERY embaressing…most recently my neice said to me "auntie, you need to shave your mustache"!! I have tried bleaching it, I dont want to shave or wax it though, as I am afraid it will come in darket/thicker… I am looking for any suggestions or feedback…
Im not a superficial person by any means, but since being diagnosed with this syndrome, I feel less of a woman as I cannot get pregnant on my own, have gained weight, growing this stupid mustache….. and some little ‘whiskers" on my chin..

I know my husband loves me and thinks Im beautiful, but he seems passed that, and I just get down on myself cause I feel gross.!

Im not looking for sympathy, but any suggestions on how to get rid of my stupid facial hair!!!!!!!

ok so about 3 years ago when i was 13 i was told i had several cyst on both my ovaries it was horrible and the pain was the worst the doctors put me on some medicine to try to shrink away the cyst so surgery wouldnt be needed but after i finished the medicine i never went back to the doctors for it or toget a checkup ever since 3 years ago i still get these sharp pains as if they were cramps theyre horrible sometimes they even make me scream and i ge t sick could i still have the cyst?? im going back to the doctors finally today to get checked but im scarred to findout?
