Ovarian Cysts – My friend gets ovarian cysts very frequently and what is supposed to happen when then start. Should I take her to the hospital? She is very sensitive to pain medicine so I cant give her anything too strong. I gave her 1/2 of a tylenol codene what should be done. If she waits will the pain start to go away?
This is the 3rd time in the past 2 months that this has occurd and all the dr’s do is give her pain medicine. They tested her and said the worst thing would be to remove 1 ovary… I don’t think so, there has got to be another way?

i have all the symptoms and im not really close with my parents. we don’t really talk about this kind of stuff. when ever i need to go to the doctor i always take my self and i have a doctors appointment coming up but my mom keeps asking and im afraid that if i tell her she will cancel it and say im lying .. what do i do.

I am never late and pregnancy test is negative but still have some symptoms of pregnancy, im confused.

Okay, so I’m pretty sure that I have a problem with ovarian cysts. My doctor felt something on my ovaries and I went on the birth control pill but I’ve lost insurance and ran out of my re-fills and so now I’m having problems again. Every other month my period is coming late and four cycles ago I thought I was pregnant but the test was negative and then I got my period the next day. So I’m trying not to think that I’m pregnant or waste money on a test but it has been a while. My last period started on September 1st. So it’s a week and a half late. I’m nauseous and my nipples are soar which is a sign of elevated estrogen, which can be caused my cysts. I haven’t felt a single cramp so my period is at least a week off, my progesterone levels must not have fallen. So I guess my question is, it’s just the cyst right? And what am I to do about these cysts?! I can’t afford 0 to go to the doctor to get the pill. Does anybody know of any way that I can get a prescription cheap? I don’t believe that I qualify for health insurance for cheaper than 0 per month, I live in New York state.

I went to the ER yesterday because I thought I had a kidney stone but the doctor said it was a ruptured ovarian cyst. He sent me home with pain meds and thats all they can do; however, I still think its a kidney stone. It hurts more when I pee, and it also hurts more when I have gas moving around in my tummy that I’m about to pass.

Did any one else have this and did it hurt more when they urinated???
I would go back to the ER but we had to wait there for SO long and I have a 5 week old baby so its just a huge hassle. Maybe I’ll go to my regular doctor tomorrow.

I had a baby 1 year ago and just found out about a month ago i have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. I have been showing all of the signs of being pregnant i.e. nausea, cramping, breast tenderness, etc but i was told that ovarian cyst show the same symptoms. I haven’t had a menstrual cycle since last august a few months after i had my son. I was wondering if anybody knows if it is still possible to conceive?

I am two months late now. In this time frame I have spotted four separate times. I have random intense vaginal cramping. I am not pregnant. More discharge than usual it seems. Weird random pains over the body. Has anyone had this before? I am going to the doctor tomorrow but was looking into it thinking maybe i have a cyst? Have any of you every had symptoms like this and it turned out to be a cyst?

I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst which has been giving me considerable pain (4.9×4.somethingx3.someting cm) on my right side.
I have been getting the pains in my right side for a long time getting progressively worse and worse until i have a coil inserted then taken out straight away – it was agony, no wonder – there’s a cyst on my ovary!

I assumed my pain was to do with the coil/ovulation until i had severe pain during sex and pain in the day time for no reason on that side.
I had also been having a dull pain under my left shoulder for a while, which seems to sometimes move into my breast and cause my left breast to REALLY hurt.
I have a dull on and off pain in the backs of my arms, and the whole of my forearm/wrist/fingers on both sides. It feels skeletal, not muscular as I’ve done no exercise because of the pain from the cyst.

I am feeling disgruntled. The Dr said to leave my cyst for 4 weeks to see how it goes and if it goes down, but why the pain everywhere else?
The Dr did not answer any of my questions about my back further than ‘mmm yea they can SOMETIMES be caused by cysts but not usually’

The pain has now progressed from just my back to my arms and under my right shoulder blade.
I am beginning to worry.
I have been told that ‘your cyst does not look sinister – not cancerous’ and ‘well one things for sure, its not cancerous. not nasty. you don’ have cancer’

My bloods/urine has been checked and they came back clear.

I’m really at my wits end, i am losing my appetite

ARGH, fingers in my left hand are hurting now ¬¬

My mum has no idea why im in pain, and i have been prescribed Volterol for my cyst pain…but what about my poor back, arms, wrists and hands?

Somebody please tell me what’s going on, I don’t think I can take another trip to the Drs where they don’t care to listen to what I’m telling them…

ok so im a teenager and for the past month almost ive had a dull ache in the lower section of my abdominal area it comes and goes and sometimes is worse than others and its on both sides i also have had some very slight vaginal and pelvic pain and also lower back pain ive had some head aches and dizziness as well i mean ive never been doubled over in pain but its definately there so i went to my doctor and she said she thought it was ovarian cysts so we scheduled an ultrasound im nervous because i keep thinking it could be ovarian cancer but does it sound like cysts to you??? HELPP MEE

I’m 18 years old, and i originally went for an ultra sound because i was peeing frequently, so they had to check my bladder and kidneys. That’s when they found a 9cm cyst on my right ovary.
The only symptoms i had of the cyst were the frequent peeing, fatigue, and mood swings at this point, i had no pain.

I went to the gynecologist right before my period, so she told me that i’ll get another ultra sound in 2 weeks after my period, to see if it will go away or shrink.

My period was REALLY painful, i had cramps so bad i took 4 ibuprofen, and the pain was still strong through that. I normally get cramps the first full day of my period, but it’s nothing ibuprofen can’t handle.

Ever since my period (which was about two weeks ago) My cyst symptoms have increased every night.
I can’t sleep at night because my belly and my boobs are so sore to the touch and i can’t get comfortable enough so i have to wait til morning to sleep.
I do take excederine to help me sleep, but it doesnt reallly help much

Anyways, i went for my second ultra sound yesturday, and last night the doctor called and told me i would have to have surgery to remove the cyst because it deffinitly did not go away. Luckily, she said it could be done laparoscopically, but i would have to wait til the first week of december as next week their operation day is full, and the week after is thanksgiving.

Anyways! Those are all the details. What i want to know is: Could i have endometriosis?
Also, if you’ve had this surgery, how was your recovery? What should i expect after the surgery?
I’m only 18, will this effect my fertility in the future?
