is it?

I have ovarian cysts and extremely painful cramps. Bad enough to throw up, etc. I’ve been told that using birth control would help. I’m scared of side effects – but I’m sick of letting it take over my life by missing work and everything else. Has anyone used birth control, and were there any horrible side effects. (I’ve heard infertility is one)

I am 16 years old and I recently had a ruptured ovarian cyst. I have been in an extreme amount of pain every since it happened and as almost been a week. I was hospitialized for two days and they said that the cyst was pretty big and blood fuild but that there was nothing they could do. They also told me later that I had a bladder infection I did not know about becasue I hade absolutely no symptoms. Ever since then I have been nauses, vomitting, major fatigue, and a temperature on and off along with all the pain. My doctor said there was nothing else they could do and that it would just be a waiting game. Since I stilll have all these symptoms I am getting worried. I thought about going to a gynecologist but I am absolutely terrified for have to do a pelvic exam and stuff and I can’t get over it. What should I do and do you have any advice or suggestions?

i am a 16 yrold junior in highskool ok. i have mult cysts that u cant c 1 of my ovaries now i am swelling in that area n my outer area n2 my thigh and it makes it hard 4 me to walk. and ive bn havin constant back and hip pian throwin up and cramps to the 50th power. its scaring the crap out of me becasue my family on bothe sides mom and dad and all grandparenst have history of it. and i dont know what to do. ive bn also gaining weight and now b/c of that with my short hair im being confused 4 a boy ok. im suposed to be going to the clinic vry soon and i would like tp prepare my self if there could b a possibliity of me havin the cancer

My gf and I were having sexual intercourse and briefly after, her ovarian cyst ruptured. Does that make it my fault for it to have happened though it was consensual?
Also making me entitled to having to pay for whatever her insurance does not cover?

i had my first ultrasound yesterday and the nurse found a cyst on each of my ovaries. when i asked her about it she said that cysts during pregnancy are normal. anyone know more about this?

Im 42, 2 c-sections, the last c-section they removed my uterus due to placenta accreta but left my ovaries. Last 3 months when I ovulate I began having very bad pains in my right side. Went in for an ultrasound 3 weeks ago and an hour after the test was called saying Dr wanted to see me first thing in morning. My gyno then told me I had a 4cmx4cm solid cyst in my right ovary and it had to come out. It also could be cancer and she sent me right away for a ca-125 test. That came back a 3 which if you have been through this you know it really means nothing. The radiologist report which came in AFTER gyno told me this, said solid complex cyst and suggested waiting 6-8 weeks to repeat US. I then see a gyn/oncologist in Boston who initially tells me I can wait or have the surgery to see what it is. After he got the US pictures 2 days later he called me and said he strongly suggests surgery and that he would try to remove just the cyst if possible. I was going to have a 2nd opinion but feel that I will just be more confused after that and will stress harder. I cant find any reviews on this Dr because I think he only recently started working at Tufts coming from Colorado. He has been very nice and even called me yesterday to ask if I had any questions or had decided which way to proceed. I have scheduled the surgery for 2 weeks. He wants to see me Monday to sign consent forms and to also be able to sit down and ask any questions. Im also very nervous that if I have a lot of scar tissue that he wont get it laproscopically and will have to cut me vertically, ruining the body I have worked so hard on getting to look good. If its cancer, of course I wouldnt care where they have to cut but Im afraid he will do this and perhaps its nothing or maybe he isnt the best gyn/oncologist to perform this. Im so scared and confused. Anyone else go in for laporoscopy surgery and had scar tissue that caused the vertical cut?

I had one positive pregnancy test and 2 negative. I went to the doctor to get an ultrasound they said they saw a cyst on my right ovary.
1. If you guys had a cyst in early pregnancy. which ovary was it on? Is it common?
2. Is it common to get a false positive?
3.They didn’t see a sac or baby in my uterus but could it be too early to detect in uterus?

I am 44 years old. Have not gone thru menopause yet. Started having painful and irregular periods. Had an vaginal ultrasound and diagnosed with ovarian cyst. In doing some research online, I don’t see where D and C is a normal procedure for an ovarian cyst. Is this type of procedure necessary? (I have not had a miscarriage)
