I am 14 and I just found out I have a large ovarian cyst on my left ovary. I heard that I should absolutely not be eating soy. Is that true? are there other foods that I’m not supposed to be eating?

i have poly-cystic ovarian syndrome. ive always had pain but ive never had a cyst rupture. two weeks ago it did. i had a little bleeding but not a lot. and now its 2 weeks to my period but i started bleeding today. i don’t have any pain yet but im wondering if i should be concerned. i don’t want to go to the hospital unless i absolutely have to. the hospitals aren’t very good here unless you want narcotics.

im 19 years old and i really dont know whats wrong with me. ive been constipated, have increased gas, and, and ive been feeling pain in my pelvic area. ive lost some weight and i haven’t even been trying too. also when im eating i get pain in my stomach. ive been taking antibiotics for an infection but ive been off of then for like a month and a half and i know they say antibiotics kills the good bacteria that help digest food but its been almost two months wouldnt they return by now? and ive been having pain in my pelvic area and it worries me. my feet have become weak and i just dont feel well. i have no family history of cancer. i dont even think anyone in my family has ever died from it. im really scared

Went to my GP tonight after weeks of agony (been hospitalised twice due to pain but no tests at time taken due to improvement with pain medication and over crowded hospital) and after looking at history and vaginal exam she is 99.9% sure I have a large ovarian cyst. Having transvaginal scan tomorrow to confirm this diagnosis. I was wondering what the current avargage waiting time on the NHS is to have an ovarian cyst removed?

Or boyfriend(I know men can’t get ovarian cysts, but say he got prostate cancer instead or Delayed ejaculation(no homo) )

I recently discovered that i have an ovarian cyst that ruptured. I have had itching and a little bit of discharge that is either milky or has a slight yellowish tint to it. Could this be caused by the cyst?

6 weeks ago my gyno found a 7.9c m simple cyst. Today, she said it was now 9.8 cm and complex and that I need surgery. I have a very busy schedule. How long is too long to wait? I didnt get the chance to fully discuss this with her today. I would like to wait 6 weeks due to work related events that are upcoming.

I have had NO PAIN and NO SYMPTOMS. She found the cyst at my annual visit. Thoughts?

For the past few days I’ve been experiencing a mild pain on the right side of my lower abdomen. About 2 days ago I tried having sex [missionary] and as soon as my boyfriend was inside of me an intense pain washed over me, like a stabbing pressure on the right side of my abdomen. Then we changed positions [doggie] and everything was fine. We tried having sex again yesterday, because I wanted to see if it would hurt again, and it did. Just as bad. And afterwards, it kept hurting, and soon the pain became so excruciating that I have to go to the ER. It was just like before, an intense, pressure-like, stabbing pain on the right side of my lower abdomen. At the ER they did blood & urine tests to rule out a tubal pregnancy & appendicitis. They then did a sonogram of my abdomen & a vaginal sonogram (I’m not sure if that’s the correct name for it or not…). The doctor said he thought it was a cyst, and I think he said he was going to have those x-rays sent to my primary care doctor, who I’m making an appointment with on Monday to have a pelvic exam to rule out STD’s. The doctor prescribed me some Vicodin and I popped two this morning and think it was too much. I’ve thrown up at least 5 or 6 times and until about an hour or two ago was unable to keep any food down. Now I can, and feel a little better, but the entire day I was extremely dizzy, light headed, nauseous, faint, tired, etc. Now I feel better, but there is a pressure when I urinate & I can’t even imagine passing stool, I think it would hurt immensely and am so afraid of needing to go to the bathroom for that… There is a slight pressure in my lower abdomen right now, that I’ve had ever since trying to have sex with my boyfriend yesterday. Does this sound like an ovarian cyst to you? The doctor looked at the x-rays and didn’t say that he was positive that I had a cyst, just that my right ovary was larger than my left and that there did look like there was some fluid somewhere that shouldn’t be, or something like that. He wasn’t really good at communicating his findings and that left me kind of confused as to what was wrong with me. I’m hoping my primary care doctor on Monday will have more answers for me. I’ve always been very healthy my entire life and I’m so afraid of now having to live a life full of painful, re-occurring cysts and possibly infertility.

I had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary, so I was admitted to hospital and they did an ultrasound and said I had a ruptured ovarian cyst and there was fluid floating around my pelvis. Ten they sent me home with painkillers. That was 3 weeks ago and I am still getting a dull pain on my right ovary. It hasn’t gone away even with painkillers and is stopping me from doing some stuff i usually do. I don’t have a follow up because they didnt give me one… What should I do? I went to my doctor – it was a complete waste of time, sent me home with no info… So doctors is a no thanks!
