Hi, My husband and I have been TTC for 6 months now and just recently found out that I have a 12 cm long cyst on my right ovary. I’m still in the works of scheduling an appointment to get it removed. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had one and also had issues getting pregnant? Also if once removed, was it fairly easy to get pregnant? Thank you for your input!!

I read somthing in the pamplets of the tests that ovarian cysts can contribute to misleading resutls. If anyone has a greater knowlege of this type of situation I would really appreciate their opinion and maybe some facts. Thank You so much.

On Monday I went and had an ultrasound for some abdominal pain and heavy bleeding. I was informed by my physician that I have a ruptured ovarian cyst on my left side, and a 3cm cyst on the right. All week long I have been in intense pain, to the point it makes me sick, but I was told that would be expected since the cyst is still collapsing from the rupture. However…I was due for my period this past Weds. I am ALWAYS on time, and now I am concerned. I took a pregnancy test last night and it came back negative. What should I do? Please…no crazy answers or ridiculous statements…if you haven’t been through this don’t bother responding. It’s stressful enough as it is.

Ok so I went to the hospital with abdominal pains and come to find out I have a hemorrhagic cyst. One on each ovary and they have been bothering me since a week before Christmas. I have been bleeding because of them for 4 weeks straight. I am in the process of getting a medical card so I can have it looked at by my ob, but it will be a while before she can see me cause she is so busy. But I just want to know if any other woman can give me advice on what to do for them. I have been taking Tylenol, ibprofen, advil, and alieve but they just aren’t working for the pain anymore. I feel so lazy cause I can’t get out of the house or be up much cause it makes me hurt more. Anyone have any tips for me of what to do while I am waiting to see my OB?

once i had a cyst on my ovary and the doctors said if it didnt pop on its own then they would pop it with their hand…how much would that cost?

i recently found out that i have aggressive ovarian cysts which means that they are reoccurring and each month they have been at least been 6 centimeters. i don’t think that this would cause infertility and my obgyn says that these cysts are not an issue for this but i really wont know if i can have children until i actually try. any advice would be great and appreciated

I’ve had this since June of last year and have been waiting for my insurance to kick in. I want to start having kids and I haven’t had a period either, what can I do to get rid of the cyst myself?

Did you have it removed? Did it rupture on its own? What size was it? Did it hurt? How did you know that you had it?

I had a grapefruit size cyst removed Nov 2006, it was attached to my stomach, colon, and intestines. Pretty messy surgery. I have another one, not quite as big, but afraid it’s growing just like the last one. I was wandering if anyone knows when these cysts burst where does the fluid go? It is dangerous or poisinous to the body?

I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant and had an ultrasound on Friday and they found an ovarian cyst during the ultrasound. I know they’re pretty common, and most the time harmless, but what will my doctor do now to follow up? More ultrasounds? Because after my first ultrasound, the tech told me they normally will only do another ultrasound when you are 20 weeks for the Biophysical Profile. Also, if it would get larger, what would they do to make it smaller, or would they just remove it? Just looking for more information & personal experiences with this. Thanks!
I saw the doctor in the office on Thursday, and then had an ultrasound at the hospital on Friday. And now it’s the weekend and the office is closed. That is why I’m asking on here, otherwise yes, i would have just asked my doctor.
