Could an ovarian cyst cause a negative blood test?

I had a blood test done 5 days before my period is due, and it was negative. That same day I found out that I have a cyst on my left ovary. Can an ovarian cyst cause a false negatrive pregnancy test?
My period is due tomorrow and there is no sign of it coming.

no i definitely wouldn’t say that.
i have a few cysts on my ovaries and around 6 on my Fallopian tubes.
it did take me a while to fall pregnant (3 years) but i knew when i was pregnant as i had so many symptoms, such as sore boobs, fatigue and nausea. i did 3 test to be on the safe side the same day and they all came up positive, doctor confirmed it a few days later with a blood test.
i say if its coming up as negative either your not pregnant, or your stressing too much about possibly being pregnant that it is making your period late, which can happen.
if you are really worried go to your gp or a gyno and discuss it with them. but i would say your not pregnant.
The blood test is looking for the hcg levels. You need that hormone to have a healthy pregnancy. If there is none of that hormone being picked up you are NOT pregnant.
I have never heard of this happening.
No. I’ve cysts off & on for 11 years and it didn’t affect any of my pregnancies or cause false results on tests. Sometimes cysts can make your periods irregular.
