Same thing happen to me when I was 17 and they had to remove my left ovary.
I am now 28 and pregnant with baby #2. It took me 6 months both times to get pregnant which is normal.
So really don’t worry too much as long as you have one ovary you can get pregnant.
Good luck and best wishes.
yup your pretty much screwed for a baby now
depends on how bad it is but I had two when I was your age and they never affected me. Now I’m 34 weeks pregnant. Best of luck to you though
Indeed it does. Sorry, there goes your hope of enjoying a full life.
I have reocurring ovarian cysts. I had one that ruptured about a year and a half ago that was 4 cm in diameter. I still get cysts, but have been using birth control to control them. I got pregnant about 6 or 7 months after the ruptured cyst and had a baby boy. He’s now 7 months old. It can affect fertility, but if it’s only one then it’s usually not going to do much. Ask your doctor after you get the ultrasound.
I found no information about ruptured ovarian cysts causing infertility on WebMD. So don’t fret just yet. See your doctor & he’ll answer all your questions, but usually they go away on their own, or your doc may suggest using heat and medicine to remove. And in some rare cases surgery is required. Best wishes to you as I hope this eases your tension.
