Does Ovarian Cyst cause infertility and heavy period?

Also I would like to know .. are they going to remove whole ovary with cyst or just cyst? what are average hospital stay for ovarian cyst removal?
I have had problem getting pregnant and i am getting really heavy period.

No. They don’t cause infertility unless they have to remove the ovaries. I don’t know how old you are but in younger women if you have a cyst surgically removed they will most likely remove the ovary as well because of the amount of scar tissue.
I have a mildly complex ovarian cyst right now and i actually missed my period for 4 months. It hasn’t gotten any heavier. They can put you on a medication such as birth control to shrink it down but it does not always work. If you do not have any complications with the cyst i/e: pain, then they might not even do anything about it. Most women have cysts and never even know. If they give you the option of having surgery recommend being put on a diabetes medication. I don’t quite remember the name but my cousin and aunt both have had ovarian cysts and taking that medication caused theirs to go away without having to have surgery. Just a thought! Sorry to hear about you problem, but Yes, the problems that you mentioned are a symptom of PCOD.
