I wondered if anyone had experience of either an ovarian or luteal cyst during pregnancy. If so what happened? Has anyone had a cyst removed during pregnancy?

i had major pain at about 7 weeks of pregnancy when i had an emergancy scan they spotted a 4cm cyst on my overy, they monitored it at my 11week scan and nothing happened from there, they say its actually common and it is usually treatable on its own,
they can operate and remove and it be perfectly safe for the baby!
so dont worry if it does happen to you
i have poly cystic ovaries. so i’ve experienced it during pregnancy. i’ve never had to have one removed though. i’m not sure exactly how they would do it, if they would do it at all, during pregnacy.
its something you would have to talk to your doctor about if you’re concerned
A corpus luteum cyst is not only normal but necessary to help sustain and early pregnancy. They can cause some discomfort on the side they are on. It’s not uncommon. If you have several cysts, they will likely monitor them as they usually resolve on their own.
I had a "complex mass" seen on my ovary when I was 5 weeks in this pregnancy. They thought it was ectopic so they did surgery. (very risky during pregnancy) It ended up being the cyst, which they left alone. I am now 35 weeks pregnant.
