Ovarian Cancer? Ovarian Cyst? Or what?
For the last couple months I’ve been having this pain in my lower left abdomen. It wasn’t all that bad until yesterday it hurt so bad I had to go to the ER. They were pretty busy so the doctor was in a big hurry and basically tried to tell me I need to poop more. After explaining how intense the pain was, he told me I needed an ultrasound. The ultrasound isn’t until monday, and the pain isn’t getting better. If anything, its getting worse. The pain is now in my lower back and hip area. It also sometimes feels like a nerve is being pinched in my leg at times. I don’t know what to expect. anyone have an experience like this?

There are so many things it could be I’m sure you know no diagnoses can be given by a bunch of armatures over the ‘net. However, it does sound like a cyst. There is NO need to wait until Monday, call all your friends and get a recommendation for a good OB/GYN. When you set your appointment, make sure to notify the nurse you want to make sure that an ultrasound tech/appt will be available. Some offices schedule those separately (as you have found out) but some offices have them available during your appointment so you don’t have to wait- this is what you need. Be bossy when you call, and don’t take no for an answer, tell them the history and that you want to set an ultrasound appt at the same time if need be.
You COULD be having bladder issues, or a kidney stone which has similar pain- especially the fact you are feeling the pain in your lowe back, most ovarian cysts I know of only cause pain in the abdomen, not in the back. If the pain moves around, chances are it is not an ovarian cyst. Google kidney stones and see if any of the symptoms sound familiar- if so, set an appt with a urinary specialist rather than an OBGYN. Good luck~
