Ovarian Cyst has burst and when to seek medical attention?
I have PCOS (poly cystic Ovarian Syndrome). I keep it under control with BCP. I had a cyst burst about 7 years ago, I went to the Dr at the time because the pain when it burst, well scared me, lol. I felt fine afterwords, no nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, nada. I woke up last night and to the same pain. Sharp, sudden acute pain that lasted about 10 seconds. Woke me up from the dead of sleep, not very please with that. It’s a little tender this morning, but otherwise, again, I feel fine. I know my OB and all he will say is everything is fine. Unless I come down with other symptoms, should I even bother going in? I understand the risks of having a cyst rupture, but I have no other symptoms and it ruptured about 5 hours ago. Thanks!

ok if that cyst ruptured u need to be in the ER right away that is something you should not play with that cyst fluid carries poison so Please Go AND SEE A DR. ASAP
Yes, go to the DR.
It’s also possible that you were just ovulating. I also get pain when I ovulate, and sometimes have to take Tylenol or something else. But just as you said, the pain might only last about 10 or 15 minutes as the egg is released from the ovary.
I do agree though, with your history you should be seeing a doctor on a regular basis.
