I had a cyst as well, on my right side. The doctor said that it was ok, actually welcome as long as it isn’t larger then 5 cm. He said that that cyst makes estrogen, which is necessary for a healthy pregnancy, but your body doesn’t make enough in the first weeks of pregnancy, so the cyst is necessary. Good luck!
i’m not pregnant, but yh i found out i have a ovarian cyst too [hopefully we're both talking about the same thing] anyways the doctor said it is common in a lot of women and girls so i would say don’t worry, it wont harm your wife however i’m not sure if it will harm your baby, i doubt it, good luck anyways !
I am 15 weeks pregnant and I have a cyst on my left overy( I believe its my left) anyway just like the person said above me that its normal for womene who are pregnantt to get cysts. If your doctor didn’tt seem concernedd then its nothing to worry about, it will go away on its own. Good luck
It is very common to get cysts while pregnant. Almost all women will have a cyst on the ovary that she ovulated from and became pregnant. It will not affect the baby and they usually go away on their own without causes any problems. However, if she has a different type of cyst the Dr will keep an eye on it to make sure it is not growing and it is not causing her any pain. If it is not causing her any kind of discomfort or bleeding they may just leave it be and see what happens.
I also have two large ovarian cysts (7cm and 8cm). My Dr. told me that while you are pregnant the cysts can actually shrink due to the increase in hormones. But she said even if they don’t shrink it will not hurt the baby..unless they grow to an unmanageable size (which is rare while pregnant). Good luck!
