Ovarian cyst ruptured… how long until I am better?

Hi….. I went into pain night before last…. and went to the doctor yesterday. A CATscan found I had a ruptured ovarian cyst. The doctor gave me darvocet for pain and told me to take a high dose of ibuprofen as well. I did not work today. I am curious how long I should expect to be down. I am scheduled to work tomorrow from 5 p.m. to close (around 2:30). I am a server. I really would like to work.. but don’t want to prolong healing. I have to make a decision tonight. What do you think? Can other people tell me their experiences?

i havent had a cyst but it is a good idea not to go to work until u are pain free for several hours or only require the advil not the darvocet for pain relief
it will prob take about 3 days to not hurt anymore
aw i hope you get better asap. and i would personally ask my doctor when i can go back to work because he knows best abotu these situations and best about your body. rest up.
I have this problem quite often. The pain is the worst I’ve ever had. Usually the pain diminishes quite a bit within 24 hours. You may be sore for a few days, but the acute pain should be attenuated within 24 hours.
