Friday I went to the E.R. with extreme pain and was sure it was my appendix. After the CT scan the dr said I had "stranding" around my appendix and would need surgery. Well they performed laproscoptomy. I did have to have my appendix removed but that was because I have an ovarian cyst almost the size of a baseball that had ruptured. The fluid/blood irritated my appendix. The surgery they did would have been the same surgery to remove the cyst but they didn’t! It is still there. I don’t understand if this is the biggest one this doctor has seen and he is already cutting me open why is it still there? My sister seems to be worried that the cyst could fill up again? I am 21 and I don’t want to always have this in the back of my mind. I have never been to a gyno (no insurance!) but I am supposed to go in two weeks for a checkup. How likely is it that I will have problems with this in the future? I can’t help but worry. This is the 3rd time in the hospital in 4 years.(the other two times were kidney stones)

Thanks in advance.
my mom said it was benign and I dont think they are doing anything about it.
nvm. might not be benign. it needs to be tested.
