Ovulation and Ovarian Cyst pain how are they different?

is there a way to tell which one it is and does ovulation kits predict the time you are dropping an egg OR the time before you ovulate?

OPKs should detect your LH surge before you ovulate. But you could ovulate that same day though b/c maybe you caught the end of the surge, or you just have a short surge.
Not sure about the ovulation and cyst differences in pains/feelings. Differs for every woman that experiences either. I know some women have painful ovulation, while a lot of women notice nothing.
I’m sure that’s probably the same for cysts as well. Some have painful ones, some have no pain.
