period… and cysts?
ok, let me see how do i explain this in the simplest form..
i have an ovarian cyst (Hemorrhagic cyst) and my period didnt come in february, ( it was normal in january, then it just stopped) i got my period when i was 11, now im 13, could it be that my period is not coming because it still hasnt "ajusted", or because of the cyst, or both?
I discovered i had the cyst last year, and to be honest, i havent had any pain. I went to my gynecologist and she said that it MIGHT need surgery( im finding out on tuesday)
also, does doing sports have anything to do with it ( i ride horses and dance)?

It’s hard to give you an answer without knowing more details. Have you always had regular periods? Have you ever missed one before? Does your cyst cause any other symptoms, or are you totally asymptomatic? Any time a woman misses her period and is not pregnant or ill, she should consult her gynecologist. Many times there is nothing wrong-stress can cause one to miss their period, as can dieting or illness. Some medications make women cease menstruation, and I have friends who are marathon runners who cease having a period when their body fat falls below the norm and are in training for a marathon. Is your general health good? Is there a chance you could be pregnant? Only you know the answers to these questions, but if you’re not pregnant and have had regular period for the past two years since you began having periods, I would want to ask a medical professional’s advice. Go see your family doctor or gynecologist and give yourself some peace of mind. Some women have irregular periods their entire lives–for them, that is normal. So without knowing more about you, this is the best advice I can give you.
