Question about an ovarian cyst?

Like 2 years ago,I had a cyst in my right ovary. It gave me horrible pain to my side.I’m pretty sure its gone now since I no longer feel those pains, but I’m worried.
I have normal periods, and everything seems fine, but I’ve read that ovarian cysts can cause infertility.
Is there a chance I can be infertile?

Very very low chance – if you have only had one, I really doubt that you are infertile. You can always be tested if you are truly worried, but I highly doubt a one time cyst would cause you to be infertile. I have had horrible cysts on both ovaries for years (I have even had to have two surgically removed), and I am still able to have children.
talk to your gynecologist about this they should be able to tell you
Usually only the most severe, recurring ovarian cysts put you at any real risk for infertility. I’ve had polycystic ovarian syndrome for some time now, and they tend to just appear and go away on their own. It’s very common.
When it comes to harming your fertility, worry more about doing things like not smoking, avoiding STDs, and overall just being healthy!
yes they can cause that but the odds are very very low. I have had cysts for years, and get them all the time. I also have had surgery once for cyst removal. I am currently a mother of a 7month old, and getting pregnant was easy. I am sure it all just depends on your body, more concern for infertility would be fybroids on your uterus/ endometriosis or fallopian tubes. Technically everytime you release an egg, it is in a cyst, sometime the cysts are too big and cant pass through the fallopian tube. Birth control is currently the only method to help with cysts, but you shouldnt worry you will be able to have a baby!
Unlikely. Many women over the course of their life develop cysts. They usually subside by their own. Sometimes a doctor will prescribe medicine to speed that up or surgery might be necessary. If the pain is gone, it most likely subsided on it’s own. If you are concerned a ultra sound which is completely painless can tell. It can be a problem if when you want to become pregnent their are cysts. Otherwise you are probably fine.
