questions about an ovarian cyst & pregnancy..?
so my boyfriend and i have been trying to get pregnant for the past 5 months and nothing so far. I had an ovarian cyst when i was 10 years old in my right ovary. I am 21 yrs old and recently in december i had to get an ultrasound done and saw that i have an ovarian cyst but that it was now in my left ovary…i was just wondering if this ovarian cyst was a reason why i am unable to get pregnant?? i asked the dr and they said that it is a common things to have an ovarian cyst but that women are still able to get pregnant..i guess i just keep thinking something is wrong with me but i just wanted to know if anybody had any information about this. My cousin tried getting pregnant for 3 years but was unable to because of an ovarian cyst, then the cyst went away and she got pregnant right away. I was just wondering if that was just her luck or was it because of the ovarian cyst?? pleasee any comments would be helpful.

I would definitely talk to your doctor about your cyst. let them know about your concerns and have them talk to you about the chances of it affecting your chances of conceiving. It can affect your chances…depending on where it is located and the size of the cyst.
Most importantly…relax. your body and mind need to have as little stress as possible in order to be able to be in a good place to conceive. You are on the right track.
A great book for advice, and motivation is "Stirrups Aren’t Just For Horses" by Janean Buyny. You may find alot of hope and inspiration from this woman who speaks to you about what the issues can be with difficulties conceiving and what things you may have to do in the process.

Well my friend had one and she got it removed and when she did she got prego.
Every woman gets cysts on her ovaries but they burst and release an egg. If you have a cyst that is not bursting then you can only get pregnant every other month instead of monthly. It slows down your chance but does not stop you from getting pregnant.

my partner and i tryed for 3 years before we found out that i had a cyst growing up into myFallopiann tube and another that was the size of an orange on my left ovary i had them removed and we tryed again 6 months after the op andsucceededd, now i have a beautiful baby girl
