Symptoms of ovarian cysts or endometriosis?

I have sharp pain in my ovaries and severe aching pain in my legs everytime I have my period and sometimes when Im not on my period. The pain gets worse over the years. But I have light periods that seem to last longer days now. What could this possibly be? Is it just menstrual pain or is it something serious?

It sounds like it could just be menstrual pain, since you say that your periods are rather light. However, I would go to my obgyn just to be safe.
Birth control pills may help.
You should be checked out by a doctor, especially for Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD).
umm… you have got to be kidding me…. if you have been gettin ur period for years.. you should have been to GYN many times already…. ENDOMETRIOSIS is no joke.. and if u ever plan on having kids you need to get this checked out ASAP!! Please!!!
I would see a doctor if I were you. Do you get yearly checks? I have ovarian cysts and these come and go. They are usually a dull aching pain in my lower abdomen on one side or the other and in my lower back especially. The only time I have had a sharp pain is when one ruptured and then was so bad I could not walk for a few hours. These go away each month with your period so they feel better for a couple weeks, then come back. I don’t think they are known to get worse over time. I have had them since I was 13 and they are the same now as they were then. Hope that helps!
I sympathized with your suffering. Most likely it is related to your reproductive system. It sounds like you may be having endometrosis. To confirm it, laproscopy can visualized if there is any sinister at your ovary, and uteroscopy to see if there is any abnormality in the uterus. Best to see a good gynecologist – and do thorough examination and investigation.
