Very painful ovarian cyst during pregnancy.?
Hi,
My wife is 9 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound 3 weeks ago which showed a 4cm ovarian cyst. She is having excruciating pain everyday which may subside for a few minutes to an hour then comes back strongly. We had another ultrasound 5 days ago and the cyst was measured at about 4.3cm. The nurse practitioner we saw was nice but I felt she downplayed the symptoms. The pains my wife feels usually confines her to the couch and she can’t even go to the rest room! She says its the worst pain she has ever felt. We are dead worried and not sure what to do. Our next Dr’s appointment is in 1 month!
Any ideas or suggestions?

You are already doing all the right things by getting your wife seen to. I would try to ring up and get an earlier apointment before the 1st of May, that’s over a week away. If your wife is in excrutiating pain, it isn’t good enough that the nurse has down-played her symptoms, your wife is experiencing some very real pain!! Try to get an earlier appointment, and maybe you could be more assertive with the medical staff and insist something is done for her pain. I can’t say much more than that I am afraid because she does need to be seen again by these doctors. Take care, both of you, I feel for her
