My doctor has found a few cysts now , the pain interupts my daily life and they say the pill is the only treatment ? I do not agree with the use of birthcontrol and thats the only option they are giving me, I would really like a more natural approach. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Today Chinese herbs come from all over the world. According to Dr. John R. Lee, too much estrogen in the body is the main reason for most women’s health troubles, including ovarian cysts. There are numerous herbal recommendations to treat this estrogen imbalance, which are also found in TCM, but here is a sampling of the more potent herbs: black cohosh, milk thistle, evening primrose oil, ginseng, peony, red clover, burdock and rhubarb. All of these herbs are very powerful Chinese herbs that can help cure ovarian cysts.
You could just take the Pill until you decide you want to have children. If the cysts are big enough and a real burden you could have surgery to remove them I believe, and if they get so big that they start twisting your ovaries you’ll need emergency surgery anyway. But I would suggest reconsidering the Pill because you want to have children. If that doesn’t make sense, think of it this way: the Pill does a great amount to stop the cysts you have from growing, and eventually those will shrink and possibly go away. The Pill also keeps new ones from appearing. If a cyst gets big enough it could destroy your ovaries and then you’ll likely never be able to have children, or you’ll at least have a much smaller chance of being able to conceive. If you take the Pill and then stop when you want to have children, by the time you’re ready to go off the Pill the cysts could have shrunk or gone away and you can get right back to being fertile when you’re off the Pill for a little while depending on the brand that you take.
If you just want a remedy for the pain, though, I find that laying in bed with a heating pad helps a lot. drink hot liquids and try to distract yourself from the pain, such as by reading a book or watching TV with a heating pad on your stomach. Good luck.
I used to have a girlfriend that had Ovarian cysts. I remember she really wanted a kid too and her family was really big in having large families (Old school Iowa thing I guess).
What she wanted to do was get her eggs frozen and stored until she found the right guy and then artificially inseminate them. In the mean time she would get the cysts taken care of.
if your like her at all I remember they would pop and she would have killer pain.. I really hope you take this route. No sense suffering when you don’t have too.
I wish you the best
