Every woman gets cysts every month it is part of the ovulation cycle. Normal cysts develop and go away on their own. Most of the time they are not even noticed. It is normal at the time of ovulation to feel a twinge of pain as the egg is released. Any thing more than that should be looked into. If the pain is severe or does not go away in a few days.
Large cysts can cause the ovary to twist over and cut off it’s own blood supply, but this is rare. They can rupture and cause problems. And yes

You are being given a basket of bullsh*t by the pharmaceutical industry. They are literally scaring you into the harmful vaccine (Gardasil). Don’t do it!!!
Only 4/100,000 are effected by uterine AND ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cysts can make you miss your period, especially if you have the condition PCOS which just means you have many cysts. Having PCOS puts you at higher risk for developing ovarian cancer but simply having a cyst does not mean that you have ovarian cancer. As long as you get your yearly PAP test you should be okay.
If you have an ovarian cyst you would more than likely feel pain by your waist. You could also have very heavy flow on your period. Cysts are rarely melignant most of them are benign like 99.9% of the time. And if you wanted to know if it was cancer or not go see your gynecologist. Just make sure you keep up with your monthly body inspections. It may sound gross to feel up on yourself every month, but it helps a lot. Make sure you check for bumps and anything out of the ordinary.
